lol at the stupidest analysis "study" ever.
In what reality does this chart represent Android users ditching their phones? 17% and 17% means no change. And certainly Apple doesn't have a higher marketshare which means that the polling sample is completely retarded.
Of course, that whole "analysis" is completely idiotic overall and makes no sense, not to mention the fact it's not an official at all, it's polled only at one of small area of 1 city and conducted on a model of 216 people.
Only idiot like you can believe that this has any merit..
Btw, read the comments... they are HILARIOUS and pointing out things that are obvious to everyone but an imbecile.

To start off with Eric Schmidt quote:
“We have seen an explosion of Android devices entering the market and, because of our successes, competitors are responding with lawsuits as they cannot respond through innovations.”Now for the juicy part:
"The Justice Department is ramping up its probe over the purchase of Nortel’s some 6,000 patents by Rockstar Bidco (Apple, RIM, Microsoft, Ericsson, Sony, and EMC) and whether or not this group acquired them to simply attack Android smartphones. If we take a look at that group, it would certainly appear as if they had no other reason, but we’ll leave that to the government to decide.Back in April, the Justice Department stepped in to thwart another consortium of companies (Apple, Oracle and Microsoft) from using their recently acquired patent portfolio to unfairly hurt rivals. All we can hope for is a similar outcome, so that we can get on with our smartphone infested lives.
All I really know though, is that I’m sick of seeing a new lawsuit filed each day by Apple against another company."

Android systems do way too fast for apple to keep up in terms of hardware.Hombre_Lobo - But most apple users don't care for the hardware, just the ios. I like the rapid dev of android myself.Hombre_Lobo

"iPad 3 is not even out and it's already going to be obsolete."
It's not really about the hardware specs at this point, it's about the overall experience and quality/amount of software available for the platform.
Also, none of us know the specs of the "iPad 3".
- monospaced0
"iPad 3 is not even out and it's already going to be obsolete."
Let me get this straight, just so we aren't confused about your statement in April when the iPad 3 may be released. Are you saying the iPad 3 will be obsolete in the sense that people will stop buying it because this ASUS is better? Or are you you just saying the ASUS is better but Apple will continue to outsell it because of their evil marketing campaign and brainwashed consumer base? Either way, are you willing to comment on how the ASUS will actually fare in the market, or are you just pointing out how good it makes fries?
- It's the typical geek masturbationfest OMG BETTER SPECS but enjoy your overpowered useless brickernexbcn
- oh right! 4G and super fast processors and all that is just irrelevant until Apple releases it...then you go and jerk off on it in every thread. I get you.Boz
- in every thread. I get you.Boz
- Why get better technology and more innovative technology when you can keep living in stone ages and keep getting raped by Apple and getting improvements every 3 years. Better go lube yourself a little bit more. Here comes already obsolete iPhone 5 for you to purchase.Boz
- improvements every 3 years. Better go lube yourself a little bit more. Here comes already obsolete iPhone 5 for you to purchase.Boz
- purchase and then be proud how Apple raped the shit out of you and made gazillion dollars.Boz
- seriously Boz, I wasn't making fun of you, and I'm not a fanboy, I just wanted to see what you thought about how it would sellmonospaced

I have an iphone, ipad, android HTC g2, a motorola xoom, and several really cheap android tablets running 1.7 to test on.
I find that the android market has way better free apps.
I love that my Android phone syncs to both my personal domain and work domain with google apps.
I am more of a believer in the mobile web than I am of apps. You can have your apps, I'll stick with the browser.
I primarily use my tablets and phone for what they were intended. The iPad is top notch. My Android phone is every bit as good as my iPhone, in fact I prefer it for it's intended use; however, when I am tasked with doing some type of work: FTP, simple HTML changes, simple CSS changes, etc. I find that android is far more flexible and useful than iOS.
iOS is for consuming content and Android is that half step between PC and iOS.
Again...don't overlook HP...pick up a plam pixi...not a bad browsing experience.

I would bet that most of the 'off topic super opinionated' back and forth in these threads are people who have not thoroughly tested a range of either Android devices and systems or iOS devices and systems.
They have one. They have had a really positive experience with it, and as human beings sometimes do they make it personal.
- right..they have to pursade themselves that the thing they have is the best around. And Apple is EXCELLENT at fueling that zealotry.Boz
- that zealotry.Boz

Making the switch this week... just have to decide between HTC Sensation or Galaxy S2...
Anybody tried the sensation? Haven't heard too many reports...
- Boz0
The only thing Sensation has over S2 is the qHD screen resolution. .But man, when you see SuperAMOLED it really doesn't matter.
- Boz0
Just one piece of review:
"In our review of the Galaxy S II, we opined that though its display was of superlative quality, its pixel density left a little something to be desired. The Sensation gives us that extra flourish with a 960 x 540 resolution (35 percent more pixels than on Samsung's 800 x 480 panel) on a Super LCD screen that fails to match the vivid output or viewing angles of its Super AMOLED Plus competitor"

Just got back from a vacation to the US with my Galaxy S2 (you guys don't have it yet?) and can't imagine how I travelled without a smart phone before now. There were some problems with roaming on AT&T though – not in making or receiving calls but in getting texts (sometimes hours late) or notifications of emails/etc (sometimes not at all).
- yeh man, smartphones are invaluable when traveling, its like a handheld computer, voodoo!!!Hombre_Lobo
