Ready to upgrade my MotoX.
Trying to decide between the Pixel and S8. I love the S8 screen, but not a fan of TouchWiz.
Thoughts? Anything else worth looking at?
- Having used an S7, I would go for the Pixel - TouchWiz is decent and nowhere near as bad as it used to be but still has too many superfluous nonsense.face_melter
- Pixel 2 is soonish - October maybe - so Google will be selling off their remaining Pixel 1 stock, check their store page for any discounts.face_melter

Ok so I just got the Google pixel 2. Because the MiA1 i had isn't compatible with the mobile network company I want to switch to.
First impression
It's got stereo front facing speakers!
Fairly light compare to the MiA1
No headphone jack :(
Solid fast
Matt finish around the rim and back feels nice
And apparently squeezing the phone can trigger stuffs... Don't exactly know if this is necessary at all...- Charges SUPER fast too. I like mine but it’s just a work phone so not my daily driver.monospaced

interesting to see what lg pull out their arse this year. i loved my g2 but ended up with an s6 edge+ for my last upgrade. if only they could use samsungs amoled screen, stick dual speakers, bezel-less display and a kick ass battery in it.

Knocked this crazy iPhone carnival on the head and went back to Android with the Z5 Compact.
One of the tidiest handsets I have owned - sits well in the hand, excellent finish with great build quality. Sony's version of Android is really good as well - almost stock with a few extras on top that are neither obnoxious or intrusive and prove to be useful such as audio enhancements and the option to adjust the screen colour temperature. A really, really, nice phone truth be told.

So I took a look at the Sony lineup in the store and I wasn't impressed, the build quality was not on par with Apple, Samsung S6 and others.
I was impressed by the HTC One M9, the case was beautiful and built like a tank. I think this will be my next phone, despite of the camera.. It's just a bit expensive for what I planned to do with it but the nice metal cases come only with the higher end phones I think..

I'm loving my 4a 5G. I went to this device from Moto G7, which I was running for about 2 years. I'm on Tracfone because big-ass cell plans can suck a dick. Tracfone service in my area is fantastic on Verizon towers. Very pleased with this phone!
- I love that it's a non-bloated device, pretty stock OS. And I get security updates within days of release, instead of 6 months like on the G7.elahon
- Tracfone, I pay $25/month for unlimited minutes and text and 2GB of data that rolls over. Since pandemic, I've got 22GB of rolled-over data because of wifi lol.elahon

What do you guys think of this nougat update? I haven't played around with too many features yet. First thing i noticed is how white it all is. Also the keys on the keyboard got longer.

I want the receiver to view it in full res by simply clicking play instantly. Can 3rd party apps be embedded in to text app?
i hate getting vids from family and friends and only viewing the most blurry horrible video as if we are in 2005.
