Let me remind ya'll that when someone looks at you from a distance, and gestures he is about to throw something at you. That's about a split second for you to react.
Now the question is what is that person throwing at you? A rock? A knife? A grenade perhaps? Even a Nolan Ryan baseball would severely do damage if you had to stop and think. Theres not even time to move out of safe distance.
Now you have to feel sad because a young kid died through a nonsense tragedy. However, these games on the border are sometimes used to distract the patrol in order to create a distraction. Meanwhile through this, 60 possible Mexicans were able to jump the border unknowingly.

it is interesting to me that while tragic, the boy's death is such an outrage in the press while this goes on for years and years and not a whisper.. same fucking city.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fem…- Because it's not American Border patrol or police, DrBombay is not concerned.sigg
- watch this http://www.imdb.com/…BattleAxe
- American Border patrol can't defend themselves against possible threats. Mexican police and people however, can.sigg
- Or just kill for the fuck of it. Drugs, guns, money. Whatever. DrBombay doesn't care.sigg
- in this case it seems questionable if the agent had identified the target threat.plash
- Yeah, sigg I saw the post you made about the Juarez murders. Get off my balls.DrBombay

Remember when you were a kid and parents taught you a few things specifically meant to protect you?
things like:
-Respect authority
-Don't play with fire
-Don't play in traffic... etc etcThese kids 'play with fire' everyday (again - the cat mouse games are apparently common-place) - sooner or later it's gonna go bad... ... which brings me back to that whole 'discipline' thing that occurs when you're a child...
... or are these just things 'white' people teach their children?
- You are making excuses for the agent shooting an unarmed kid. Is this fucking bizarro world?DrBombay
- and you're forgetting all the violence down there... and the fact that he doesn't have a clue of the intentions of those...PonyBoy
- ... 'toying' with him (the agent) while he's supposed to be keeping his eyes open for criminal shitPonyBoy
- But it's "commonplace" though, right?DrBombay
- so is MURDER you fucking toolPonyBoy
- but wait... the agent 'murdered' the boy according to you...PonyBoy
- we're not going to get anywhere... I'm too white and I just don't get itPonyBoy
- Did the agent fuck up or not in your estimation?DrBombay
- Should he do time for killing an unarmed kid?DrBombay
- Or should he be placed back on the border tomorrow?DrBombay
- both sides 'fucked up'...
... no - he shouldn't be charged - it's a shitty outcome to a stupid prankPonyBoy - but he shouldn't be charged because he has no clue (regardless of home 'common place') what the intentions ofPonyBoy
- the kids werePonyBoy
- however... he should be removed from the jobPonyBoy
- He should do time for manslaughter at least.DrBombay
- tell you what - I want to know more info... ... if the man's intentions were in fact to kill just to kill... etc etc... throw the bookPonyBoy
- at him.PonyBoy
- right now - the situation is presented as a prank that was misread due to the normalcy of violence on the borderPonyBoy
- If you are shooting guns at humans, what is your intent? To give them a Snickers bar?DrBombay
- Manslaughter is what they charge people with when they kill someone even if unintentionally.DrBombay
- BattleAxe0
and remember in Border Patrol training where they tell you to watch out for rowdy civilians on the other-side trowing rocks and to follow proper protocol
but sure blame the parents , cause you met them personally and knew the mom right , and she never taught her son right from wrong ,
a family friends said this
"He was not a drug trafficker. He was the hope of this family."
sounds like a real undisciplined kid to meand oh so easy to say Mexico does not care, WHY? because of their high poverty ? You think the U.S government gives a shit about you and if so how ?
- PonyBoy0
^^ explain please why the country is in poverty... and why the states aren't
- Pretty awesome how you glossed over ten items and plucked out that one.DrBombay
- your kidding right? no poverty in the states? really wowBattleAxe
- um... are you serious going to compare US poverty w/the likes of Mexico's? be reasonablePonyBoy
- and you seriously think U.S cares more about you then Mex cares about its citizensBattleAxe
- yes, battle... I doPonyBoy

I'm not taking any sides since I haven't read the whole thing, but throwing rocks is fucken dangerous. You can gouge someone's fucken eyes out. Anyone with any decency should know better not to throw a rock. It's a fucken weapon.

Just to give a little context about "Government caring" stuff... I don't think the Government as an org cares more in the US than in Mexico, but we have better systems set up. For exmaple, I believe only 11% of current teenagers in Mexico go to Univeristy. Mexico only has government mandated schooling up through middle school. Highschool is much like college here. You apply and hope to get in... but there aren't enough schools, so many kids end up taking jobs for just dollars a day. Comparing poverty and income in MX and the US is not the same, by any means.
In addition, things like gov run middle schools aren't like in the US. I visited several in DF in poorer areas. They had 10-15ft walls around them with razor wire. I asked if they had problems with people trying to get in... they explained no, they had problems with students trying to get out.
Why do I know all of this? I work with various universities in Mexico. Currently I work with a school in Mexico city, but in the past have stopped by schools in Juarez, San Luis Potosi, and Monterrey.
There are many other issues behind Mexico's problems, schools just being one. When visiting you realize why so many people want to come to the US. I wish instead of spending so much to keep them out we'd work with their gov to imporve their country... but I know it's not that simple :\
- //spoken like a true white personPonyBoy
- JUST KIDDING FFS!!!!PonyBoy
- How is that funny, ironic, clever or anything else? You're just a dick.DrBombay
- *sniffPonyBoy
- he basically backed up what I was saying w/real facts... but when I was saying them I 'speaking like a white person'...PonyBoy
- ... according to you, Rick.
thus the irony...PonyBoy - I don't see this as him agreeing with you very much.DrBombay
- ask a poor family in the U.S how rich they feel compared to a poor family in Mexico , see what they sayBattleAxe
- I'm not agreeing w/ anyone specifically, just explaining what I've seen and the differences w/ schoolsjfletcher
- your words (whether you meant them to or not) backed up my point... wasn't trying to lump you in w/me, jfletcherPonyBoy

Wow, America does produce some really scared pussy mofos if they have top react with guns to rock throwers. I thought that GI Joes were fearless, i guess it comes to realize that in reality they are scared mouse thinking that sky will fall on their heads any minute now.
- I'm not sure this has as much to do with scared as it does with empowerment and aggression.Point5

" i wonder what the reaction of the US would be if the tables were turned and a mexican border patrol agent shot an american teenager in the face (under similar circumstances). "
Or maybe if say an Israeli killed an American aboard a ship. What would the reaction be? If you're interested in the answer check out the last page of the politics thread. Said video is right above a posting by non other than DrBombay, who of course completely glossed the video over. How fucking hypocritical of you (all).

You must have taken Viagra today Sigg. Your hard on for me has been raging all afternoon. Funny part is I truly have no idea who you are.

- Not even your boy cnaps or jazx? Cmon nowDrBombay
- well... they're nuts to begin with... :) ... I've always thought you were pretty fucking coolPonyBoy
- you're just a pain in the ass to have a cordial political conversation withPonyBoy
- Your passive aggressiveness is weirdDrBombay
- it only occurs w/you, dude... ... nobody else.PonyBoy

probably an accident. maybe even an incompetent/rogue agent. tragic, but definitely no more scandalous than an everyday fatal car crash. i can see why a newspaper would try to spin this into something more, or a politician who has an agenda, but how the fuck do you even care? this thing inherently isn´t about politics or another systematic problem. except if you desperately need it to be. for whatever reason. most often inferiority complex, anti authority, that stuff. recognize!
and @the polish breechloader: america and every single other fucking country in the world. everybody´s really sorry that you have a tiny schlong, but fascism isn´t going to help you.

It's all fear and money now, isn't it. America, fuck yeah. Just like fucking Rome, aren't we all.
It's funny that two of my favorite bloggers now both live in Mexico. One was a former vietnam era Marine, went on to be a Washington DC journalist, total hardcore old school conservative. The other was a Portland sociology professor, very intellectual liberal...both now live in Mexico and both emphatically say America is an absolute fucking wasteland, with no moral center and no curiosity, albeit from two very different perspectives - each being aligned on the mid 20th century conservative-liberal axis.
Shows you how degraded politics and culture has become. It's all wingnuts, murdoch infotainment, guns and internet porn masking our fear over what we've lost.
Mexico might have some deep problems but at least they haven't lost their there sense of who they are.
- waaw linkies to the bloggers?davebellechique
