I'm not totally into the look, but I love that Tesla exists. Nice [electric] cars. If I had the cash, I might go for one of these... but I got no car right now :P

I dig this guy: http://www.teslamotors.com/roads…

Beautiful, Model S looks alot like my 2009 Lexus is250. As soon as my lease up, I will probably be getting one of these.
- I also get a bit of Aston Martin, as well.ItTango
- I believe that the exterior of Model S is based on the Aston Martin.utopian
- HAHA you're delusional. Do you know how much it costs to charge? IS250 upgrade to tesla? HAHAHAHAHAHaFredMcWoozy

For 55k you can the Model S fully loaded, very reasonable.

Yeah, I really dig this piece. 5 adults + 2 rugrats? All good. My wife likes it a lot, which means there may be one in our driveway by 2011. I don't think they're available before that.

$400 a month to charge. Good luck.
Got a charging station in your home? Chalk up another expense.
The electric companies are not set up to charge electric cars because the more electricity you use the higher your rate goes so if your charging your car and house you're looking at bookuu bucks.
- Not including Cap and Trade bills and other taxes.FredMcWoozy
- Where does it say $400 a month to charge? More like $4 a charge. More like $40- a month.utopian
- Just more fear mongering from Uncle Freddie. Will you ever get your facts right? - No!utopian
- you're right. fuck it. let's just keep our gas engines forever.lambsy
- Starting to realize McWoozy really is just a negative dick. Can't recall one useful post yet.ETM
- JUst starting to realize, really?;)ukit

It looks like an Aston Martin rip-off. Nothing against Tesla though...

@mcwoozy: where do you get $400 per month? It states the a full charge costs about $4 dollars. Even with the smallest battery, that gets you 160 miles. So, unless you're driving 16,000 monthly...
- utopian0
The national average of miles each American driver drives per year is a little over 12,000 miles per year. Which is about 1,000 per month. At $4 a charge per 300 miles, the month cost is about $12- a month to charge the Model S.
NOT: $400 A MONTH!!!
FredMcWoozy you are a fucking moron, go troll Glenn Beck's Website!

If I was at all into cars and was at all prepared to not buy second hand (which is, let's face it, more environmentally friendly than buying a new car, at least for a few years yet), I'd give one a go.
Neat-looking car - looks like it weighs as much as a feather.
With as much torque as electric cars can offer, I bet this'd be a fun drive around town late at night.

Nice to see Aston Martin going electric....
oh wait...

how many people that live actually sustainable lifestyles are likely to by this car?
- sustainable ≠ low income. if you have the loot, why wouldn't you? you still have to get around town, in chicago that can be a long wayItTango
- can be a long way...ItTango
- no it doesn't mean low income but that still doesn't answer the question.lowimpakt
- who can say "how many". but based on what i've seen in sustainable architecture, there's a market for it.ItTango
- i think even not sustainable living people may buy this to SAVE a LOT of taxes in a LOT of countries!janne76

I bet you two peugeot bb1, that this car will never hit the road.

Cant wait until this car reaches Norway. It will be almost ridiculously cheap because its electric. "Oil" fuled cars in Norway cost like 2-3 times what the do in the US because of taxes. I'm going to buy one just for fun!
- janne760
Electric cars are free of regular car taxes in Holland as well. Good thing.
