Sounds good, very similar to normal QOTSA though.

Seen them twice now, once at the Melkweg, and second time at Lowlands... it's very impressive, although the gig at Lowlands was way too crowded and people were fainting all over the place because of the heat and crowdpressure. Also the sound at the Melkweg was superior to the sound in the tent at Lowlands

Fucking awesome. Hints of Zep, Cream, and of course QOTSA and Foo's...bloody good mix.

Just got back from a concert in Detroit at the Fillmore and can honestly say I was not disappointed.
The music can be classified as American-grunge blues-rock, with some heavy hints of nirvana, queens and foo thrown in for good measure.
The Show:
John Paul Jones wasn't quite as high in the mix as i'd have liked him to be but he did manage to nab a few solos. Dave Grohl proved he is indeed still a monster on the kit, while Homme shredded and played tasty muddy-waters / zz-tops inspired licks. The rhythm guitarist did a good job of providing a heavy mid-range sound.Overall:
All in all it was short, sweet and louder than hell - not overperformed and not underpformed. Which is exactly what you want to see from this kind of group.I rate this:
