Just got back from a concert in Detroit at the Fillmore and can honestly say I was not disappointed.

The music can be classified as American-grunge blues-rock, with some heavy hints of nirvana, queens and foo thrown in for good measure.

    The Show:
John Paul Jones wasn't quite as high in the mix as i'd have liked him to be but he did manage to nab a few solos. Dave Grohl proved he is indeed still a monster on the kit, while Homme shredded and played tasty muddy-waters / zz-tops inspired licks. The rhythm guitarist did a good job of providing a heavy mid-range sound.

    Overall:
All in all it was short, sweet and louder than hell - not overperformed and not underpformed. Which is exactly what you want to see from this kind of group.

    I rate this:
    ★★★★★
