It's hard to critique something you really can't pay attention to.
However the type stood out way too much coz it looked like it needs TONS of work.

Cheesy as hell!!!

^ I agree with emukid
I would also recommend designing their prenuptial agrrement.

Think the black outlines around pages could be toned down a little...
- uncle_helv0
It's too sappy and way over the top, I mean first of all too many images/pages for what is just basically an invite, secondly it would cost a fortune to create, the photography and print, and would look sh*te handmade/DIY!
- I Agree with u_h.
- "less is more"utopian - it's a die cut with a half tone print.
didn't cost much at all...TaylorB - So it already exists? why bother asking for a crit when it's finished?!uncle_helv
- it's just a simple..."what do you think?' and thanks...good comments from all...TaylorB
- I Agree with u_h.

okay now that i figured out what is going on, i like it. i like that each page is a different size. although usually that is something i would hate but here it works well i think.

really, really ambitious...... and i can say- will be interpreted by many as being pretentious. sorry.
aside from the *ridiculous* cost to print/trim this, i too must agree with the comments above that cannot stand 'lovers' acting 'lovingly' in photos of just themselves for an event surrounding/all about them. really drives me insane.
i think your creative and execution is well done, but even if i knew these people and wanted to attend, i would throw this away instantly for no other reason than i hate that aesthetic and CD.

if those pictures are of people getting married, then great
- cosmicEntity0
I would vomit if I got this in my post box. Theres nothing worse than than "lovers" being so up their own ass they feel they need to show the love via the medium if their own freaking faces.....in b/w.
p.s. I'm going through an emotional breakup
- yes I did mean to say than x2cosmicEntity

Cheesy as hell and vain as hell. What a narcissistic pair of fucktards. I'm sorry if these are good friends of yours TaylorB, but really, you asked for opinons and this is mine. I think its over the top, self adoring mis-directed mawkish nonsense. An invite is meant to be extended to people to request their presence at the sender's event. In that sense its a humble kind of thing. It can be presented in a grand and elegant fashion, but it is still humbly requesting someone's time and effort to witness the marriage.
It should be a clear and simple and elegant communication of the information, not this "George at Asda" seasonal LOVE ME & MY TRUE LOVE'S LOVE Catalogue of coy Grazia photogenica. What the fuck were they thinking when he sat on that artist's stool next to her and curled up as she emotes proudly at the camera? What the fuck do they think they are? a Simply Red album sleeve? an ad for sexual health? A Coldplay moment, dashed gently against the rose tinted double glazing at HeartFM HQ?
I sincerely hope I don't know these people because if they send me this invite I'd shit in a hat box and send it back with a note saying I was unable to attend due to a prior engagement stabbing myself in the eyes with a piss covered stick.
AAARRRGHHHHRant over.
Sorry if I went too far. Its just that this kind of shit hits my button.
- and that's that... good luck their chief. didn't mean to hit that button.TaylorB

I like the idea of the different sized pages and the way they overlap and reveal a little of whats on the next page. However, Im not keen on the photos, I do think they are a bit ott on the lurve, very posed and staged, that being said, this thing is supposed to represent the two people getting married so they may well be like that.
If you are doing it, the thing I would say are, this is going to be very expensive to create, even if you were to print digitally, but if its your wedding present to them then thats cool. The photos all seem to come from different sources with different tones, this kinda makes it look like some were just snap shots while others studio shot by a pro. If you were to make em consistent it would help the overall piece feel more unified. And the type does look like it needs a fair bit of work.
Just my opinions though.
