okay, i moved the navigation. does this work better?

i would, like many others, suggest you should take the politics out from your folio. creatives are not the only type who will see your work. HR, account execs, who knows what their like.
if i was 20-25, yeah, take that risk and hold on to the political ideal. but i am not that young. also, i would want to get a job.
did you talk to attik or akqa? i bet akqa is looking. they are always busy.

that's a nice tip instantok

nice stuff...i think you can be more confident in some of your descriptions. phrases like "i attempted to..." imply that you didn't quite achieve the goal.

thank you for the comments monkeyshine.
im so confused now. the beginning of the thread was so against using the bush piece but now its so for using it.
im just gonna leave it in but in th back like i have now. so, at least its not the first thing people see anymore.

Nice work, mattyd. I like your presentation and folio.
I also disagree with the comments about political pieces. The people who are rock stars in this business are the ones who aren't afraid to take a stand.
Secondly, taking a stand isn't even an issue here. This is a piece you did for a magazine during a very politically charged time. It says nothing about you...just your work. And it's good work. Don't take it out.

i don't know if i am or not, but the work i did doesn't reflect what i can do. so, i just decided to leave it out.
but, i felt i should at least mention my agency experience.

'My previous work experience includes freelancing for such firms as ATTIK and AKQA in New York City where I did work for AOL, Coca-Cola and NBC.'
are you just not allowed to show these project or what?

oh, and very nice and inspiring work!

First and foremost before I say anything, your portfolio that you present to a potential employer should be clean and clear of all political messages and work.
That GW image on the first page will kill you.
Trust me.

(Dec 14 06, 13:30)could not disagree more. if a future employer can't eat that, it's not a place you want to work.

oh, and im working on making the images clickable so you can see a larger version at the moment.

Okay, so I made some updates and added a new piece that I made last night...
(Larger version of new piece)
I fixed all the dodgy things people mentioned so far except the whole navigation moving around thing.
I kept our kid in the portfolio, but sent him to the back.
Tell me your thoughts.
