Banksy is actually Jony Ive.
- That's why the design looks shit, and why it is all just unoriginal and stolen.monospaced
- People only like it because of the marketing hype that Apple is famous for.monospaced
- But utopian would never fall for that.monospaced
- This is the most sense that you have made since getting off Ritalin.utopian
- But then again..
"Sheep will always be sheep."

Most everything is being defaced

the only people who care about it getting defaced are spectators. banksy's been doing this for awhile, knows it's part of the game, as do those tagging his shit.
if he wanted to make sure his shit wouldn't get touched, he wouldn't put it in the street, he's got that kind of hold now in the art world. it's just part of it, i wish all these idiot blogs would stop making such a big deal of it.
if anything, it's quite representative of how when things are given some sort of monetary or social value they become worthy of protection - the farce of capitalism and all that. fuck it.
- the articles read in different ways, some explain the graffiti culture, others bemoan it. i play the game, i get italbums

Are you the sort of person who enjoys going to art galleries but wished they had more gravel in them? Then this temporary exhibition space is for you. Housing just two paintings but also featuring a bench, some carpet and complimentary refreshments. Opens today through Sunday 11am til midnight.

What if Banksy was never there?
- oooohhhh! nice thinking. others are doing his work maybe for him?capn_ron
- I believe BANKSY is not a single person, but a collective/group that can never be held accountable...ideaist
- ...Thus, HE/SHE will never be anywhere; THEY can do much more anonymously!ideaist
- ; )ideaist
- <Krassy
- it's a nice idea, ideaist. kind of reminds me how bauhaus was for design. just not street art.capn_ron

Why don't they just check/confiscate his passport when he travels. I mean, how many Banksys are out there?
I know, I know... I'll get my coat.

In between breaths of lung-shredding metal debris, another manager gave me the lowdown on how Banksy made the tag. "He was here within a minute of the last employee leaving in the morning. He must have been casing the place for a while," he said. At about 6:30 a.m. yesterday, with one lookout stationed on the corner of 51st and 12th ave, Banksy put up a tarp around a portion of the metal door and made the tag in 40 minutes of complete concealment.

Its not like Banksy is a wanted man or anything. Vandalism requires the property owners to pursue it legally and even then there has to be a pretty heinous case against the vandal for the police to go out of their way and find, arrest, charge and prosecute someone.
- the majority of the propety owners n NY now probably are loving it or don't care/ don't knowuuuuuu
