Yo! You are calling these guys fear voters? My ideas of fear is having the press full of terrorism crap whenever the admin's poll numbers are crashing.

All tired bullshit aside, the stoner you refer to is Jesus Christ (Matthew 5)
gramme
(Aug 10 06, 08:47)I think he was aware of that. He was being pithy. Not funny, just merely pithy.

Ask Balance, what the opposite of "fear" is?
Is cooly examing the facts and remarking on possible outcomes, positive and negative, "fear"? Or is sticking your head in the sand and saying "This is not happening. This is not happening." fear?
My training always told me to move forward under fire, not hold position and see what happens. Longer your exposed to the status quo the more casualties you take. And I think we have to make some forward motion on this climate change thing...I think a former military guy like Republ..I mean Fair and Balanced would agree with that strategy...

I need this to get me going in the morning.

(Aug 10 06, 08:19)Interesting...I'm reading these words above as I listen to George Bush talk about how in danger the American people are but the government will take care of them.

TheBlueOne, Republicun was banned - 'Balance' (ha ha ha) is his new incarnation.
- mrdobolina0
His name is balance and yes he is here, He is twisting being for conservation and against poluution as being against Bush, what a tit.

No Republican, just Fair and Balanced...
- TheBlueOne0
Is Republican in this thread? I have him ignored - is that who you're all responding to? And where did Garrett_West go?
- Nairn0
no! Not at all - politically, i flip between über-Capitalist conservative and liberal Leftie-something... regardless though, if I am in a mood to support Big Industry, I have to accept that production has to be enveloped in zero-sum emissions - I mean, that's just logic. How can a closed- system environment sustain the absorption of CO2 (etc) from THREE CENTURIES of high-industry without any external effect? It can't!
That's got fuck all to do with how wish my taxes be spent.
Capital-development and the environment need not be mutually exclusive - sadly, this conflict is the logical path of a civilisation that has discovered that resources aren't infinite.
- mrdobolina0
Noone has said it was Bush's fault. Except you, setting up your straw man again.

GW, further line of questioning:
If yes, human society has an impact on climate, then just using temperature as one metric, can we heat up or cool down climate in certain regions? Is this enough to effect global temperture regulation? What effect on ocean currents, which are driven in part by heat transfer between atmosphere and surface water temperatures.
If so, does this effect weather patterns? And would the frequency and intensity of storms and hurricanes as a general trend be one indicator of this?
All questions that are logical and sequential. I merely pointed to the article because it cited that this was the most powerful storm to hit China in fifty years. I was not, as you seem to allude to, twisting the facts, a comparison between the power of Katrina and this particular storm on wind speed. There are regionally differnet strength due to local conditions. However, it still underlies a general trend of incresed intensity in storms of similar types around the globe, subject to local conditions.

My point is you fuckers act like human pollution has no impact on the planet at all. It really doesnt matter if global warming is caused by coal plants or SUV's or is all cyclic, something should be done about all of this pollution. It isn;t good for people, now go ahead and rip me to shreads you dicks.
