was arguing with a guy about global warming last night, who asked "So where are all the hurricanes now?"
Um, China apparently. You know, it's GLOBAL warming, not US warming.

1) Where in this article does it say the storm is cause by global warming?
2) 135mph winds? That's a low category 4 hurricane, high category 3 hurricane fyi.
4= 131–155mph
3= 111–130mphSo in comparisson Katrina's 155+ winds were much higher, and, was a larger storm.
So I'm just asking... was it easy to skew the article that much to make it work for your benifit?, cause I read it and it said nothing about global warming. A "warm Pacific current" isn't global warming, it's is a slow warm water current that flows west-to-east between 40 and 50 degrees north in the Pacific Ocean. Has nothing to do with global warming.

You know, before Bush took office I was considered a die hard Libertarian - you know, States rights, gun rights, don't really care about abortion one way or the other..I was called a "fascist" by the commie radicals in my college..
And somehow in the last few years I have become a "bleeding lefty" and a "liberal". I am amazed at how this has happened. Of course, William Buckley and Pat Buchanan are now "leftists" as well, so go figure...

THE ISSUE IS CLIMATE CHANGE - NOT GLOBAL WARMING. GLOBAL WARMING IS AN OUTCOME OF CLIMATE CHANGE AND IS ONLY ONE SMALL FACET OF THE PROBLEM.

Factory emissions account for 40% (global) yet somehow all is blammed in America's love for SUVs. America somehow is their direct link to global warming. Which makes even less sense after TheBlueOne just said "It's Global warming guys, not America warming."
One way or the other guys, you can't have both.
