I love my SC Blur. Extremely well made and the anodized finish is very durable.
I'd probably opt for the Blur LT now.

Not to get off topic but anyone know of any good oversized BMX manufacturers?

M210:
A friend of mine just picked up a Turner Highline. Its one of te nicest rigs out there I think. Also noticed that yer email link is to crankbros. I love the 50/50's and have a set of malettes on my 4x bike. Nice gear.Intenese 6.6. It rides tight and the chainstays are super short so its super easy to pop and manual. I had my leg over one in a parking lot and was impressed with it for those 3 seconds. It had the new Fox 36 talas and spinergy wheels. Super light and its Intense so its gonna kill no matter what. I wouldlike an m3 so bad. $3500 for the framekit up here tho. Yipes

I'm loving my eggbeater pedals, you'll get used to the clipless in a couple of days

(May 15 06, 15:08)Are they easier to get in/out of than shitmanos?
I took off the shitmanos and put on some nasty diamond back pedals that look like old Hutch Bear Traps. Now I ride with shin gaurds.

the nice thing about the eggbeaters is there are 4 sides to get in so you just push down and yer in. Versus two for most clipless pedals, and they are superlight because there very little materials
m210 works there maybe he can elaborate...

was also my first time riding clipless, they held the bike to show be but its harder without riding it, so they set me up on oen fo those stands where I could pdeal and I still could hardly do it, I felt like an idiot.
But once I rode it on the st. I was actually able to get into them pretty easily. I only tipped over once on a grassy hill haha.

the first time I had clipless pedals was on a road bike years ago. I remember having the LOOK pedals adjusted a bit to tight and at a busy red light I tried to balance for a sec before falling over flat on my side.

for the first few days just concentrate on removing your feet before you come to a stop. It gets easier.
Once in fell into a manzanita bush, ouch

Like I said
Keep it BMX. Gears and shocks are for pussies.

Judging by some of the stuff I have seen in some MTB videos, DH stuff and freeride on the North Shore, I'd say the opposite is true.

eggbeaters are much easier to use compared to shimano. the internal mechanism is way simple compared. you dont have to mess with tension settings for release either, yet its impossible to pull straight up and come out. a simple little ankle flick gets you out very easy when needed, however.
our pedals all have different features. personally, i ride candy pedals. i like the smaller platform, and the shoe tread contacts with the body and feels nice and solid.

glad you got yourself sorted NegativeSpace - hope you enjoy it. You'll be spending a fortune on stuff you *really* need.
m210 - I'm just about to go for some Candy's, so they better be good. ;o)
- m2100
ha! you'll like them. you going sl or ti.... or c? we have a new pedal called the smarty... a different internal bearing system, larger body then the candy, and a cool customization feature... kinda fun. only 49 euro i think... not sure if its in the uk yet but its on its way. kind of a nice "first clipless pedal"... but then again one of our guys here raced dh using them and really dig's 'em.

Same here DSmith, 10mins in the carpark on the 6.6, Fox 36 van, very suprised by how light it was... trouble is the price 'Yipes' does come to mind - but it just looks so good!
Never tried the egg beaters myself (heard lots of good things about them though) - if you fancy a clipless with a solid platfom I can heartily recommend Time's Z control atacs.
- kyl30
if your parrtial to the mud the eggbeater are pretty sweet as well, nothing to get jammed up
- m2100
yes, times are a good pedal. very similar in feel to ours. time has a bit more side to side float then crankbrothers. eggbeaters do shed mud better, too... mallets are good if you're looking for a big platform + clip. big in the dh, 4x, freeride scene... not so much in the xc/all mountain.

I like the look of the Mallets, the whole spring makes total sense + i had a look at those 5050's the other day too, very nice! my only criticism - almost too nice to put your feet on : )
