but that is not what ID is trying to say, mimio. ;)
the next logical step is what? define the designer...

DrHuxtable, if you want to learn about why it's such a passionate issue relating to it being taught in schools, read any number of articles here:
The bottom line is because there are people in the scientific community who are uncomfortable with the implications of ID - it has implications to some higher intelligence. And many people embrace Darwinism so passionately and reject ID because they like that fact that Darwinism has Atheistic implications. It's fits better with their world view. They have launched a campaign to convince the world that ID is trying to infuse religion into the science education. Propaganda that dodges the science.

No, balboa, the answer is to directly... DIRECTLY respond to the scientific arguments. Something absent from these debates. Instead, I hear propaganda and emotional rhetoric.

mandelbrot set as argument?

K0na you're missing the point! the male model issue, merely proposes that after the reduction of our environmental challenges evolution is currently being reversed. Really man, get with hte programme!
kelpie
(Jan 5 06, 07:48)Not sure what you are trying to say, but if you're saying anything bad about male models I'm going to have to break dance fight you until you die from it.

No, Kuz, you can't stop evolution within a species. Agreed. We will continue to advance and adapt in numerous ways.

kelpie, I'm all about following the evidence wherever it may lead. and I'm not necessarily an Young Earth Creationist. It's just that the evidence, taken as a whole, leads away from NeoDarwinism.

(Jan 6 06, 05:28)you chop and change your position on the young earth as it suits your arguements mate. You only follow eveidence where it uits you too, hence why anytime it doesn't you just focus on a few natural inconsistencies in technique and rubbish entire tracts of evidence. See carbon dating, see the 2nd law of thermodynamics etc. See the fact that your arguement is based on gaps in knowledge while the other is based on compilation of knowledge. Your an anti-scientist. I wouldn't contest that at some point so far back we don't have a hope of finding any evidence either way it is indeed a *possibility* that a designer sparked the universe into life, but really, considering that it can never be either prooved or disprooved, what is the point?
- flagellum0
The vast majority of the scientific community is just becoming privy to the claims of ID, mimio. It is new, as an organized science. Did the Big Bang theory recieve immediate recognition? No.
And ID cannot detect who the designer is. Your claim about the supernatural shows that you still don't understand it.
- cphunk0
I've already explained the significance of why I, and possibly others, would want to know a bit more about you. Three times now?
Asking Mimio something about him would deflect my questions............. again. Though something tells me, he would be less dismissive than you. I've seen many different posts from Mimio on this forum.

Hi JazX
Go Bucks
Now back to your regularly scheduled NT time-wasting-mudslinging.

// It's easy to buy into ID if you just don't apply the same scrutiny that would to evoltuion.

hey, this'll cheer you up! did i tell you they're putting a warrant out for my arrest in america?
haha.
i'm hoping it turns out to be one of those 'funny cos it's true' rather than 'funny cos it's sad' kind of things...

(Jan 6 06, 11:28)I'm going to have to agree with flagellum here. There is very little science in these threads and mostly philosophical jargon. I don't care for that talk. Just pounce in when something interesting get's spewed out that's factual or at least somewhat factual.
