I wish I could find the link, but some Yahoo photos had some interesting captions for some of the hurricane aftermath photos. One of which was a photo of white people carry'n groceries through waist deep water, the caption read ".faimly finds food in a grocery store..." Same image but black people..." Family loots grocery store for food..." Harsh.

"Intellectual looting" of the consequences of an unavoidable natural disaster to score partisan political points. Pure and simple. Shameful to say the least...

chris tucker's look is goddamn priceless.
he must have tought Jackie Chan would jump in and save him.

what is really shameful is the director of FEMA saying thursday that he was unaware of the problems at the superdome.
the guy is unqualified and was selected for the position as payback for his pioneer status within the republican party. dont get it mixed up.

Kanye has no idea whats going on, and only has racist views to back himself up. Keep in mind that the majority of people left in NO are mainly poor because they had no where to go after the pre-warning. Also the fact the major population of NO and the whole south is black, which on TV appears as poor, looting, black people, which it IS. What kanye did was very stupid.

I like what he did

Moral cowardice that keeps us from speaking our minds is as dangerous to this country as irresponsible talk. The right way is not always the popular and easy way. Standing for right when it is unpopular is a true test of moral character.

its time to stop pointing at people. nobody thought it would be this bad. we have to just help each other out and stop pushing blame on people.

(Sep 2 05, 23:54)what fucking planet are you living on mate? they've been doing computer scenarios of what would happen if the levee broke for years.
they knew perfectly well what was going to happen.

When President Bush told "Good Morning America" on Thursday morning that nobody could have "anticipated" the breach of the New Orleans levees, it pointed to not only a remote leader in denial, but a whole political class.

anyone that says kanye west was inarticulate and looked like an ass, needs to remind themself that you're phucking country is being run by a phucking C student, who when questioned on something as simple as "sovereignty" uses it as a phucking verb cause he had no clue what it meant.
my sentiments in bullet form;
-maybe he shouldnt have used, the race card, but used the classicism card instead. by now we all know of the 40% cuts to the flood prevention slid towards the iraq cause
-100% agreed with the dude that said maybe it was inopportuned thing to say being that it was a donor show, but if it triggers a much needed debate, i'm all for it
-u really have to question if this situation wouldnt have been attended to earlier and differently if a different class of people were involved. imagined if bush's ranch got swallowed by a hurricane
-this gem by dope pope says it all, and this image should be revered into pop culture history:

confusion always prevails in the beginning of any disaster
-and there will always, always be the 'coulda, shoulda, woulda' debate -
it takes 3 factors to organize relief efforts after any catastrophe
1. communication
2. prioritization
3. cooperationnow that these factors are on the verge of complete, we can all plainly see how help is being administerd exponentially -
look these friggin people are lucky to live in a country that can donate so much time money and effort to help them. think this scale of help woud be possible in africa? middle east? haha. dont think so. and oh yeah, next time an army helicopter comes to drop off life sustaining supplies to you and your family, please dont shoot at it.
