Why are they so angry virtu? It is truly amazing. 8 million citizens of a liberated country participate in democratic elections, and all these self-serving bastards can do is naysay. I have a theory! They are still pissed off because John Kerry lost, and because Bush is actually making a difference in the world. If people with actual values piss you off maybe you should rethink your life.
"whatever virtu. i'm not going to argue with you. this whole thread will explode into a political rage, people will be striked and kicked and what have you not. this is not the place." - rabattski
*no rebuttal after getting punked like a little bitch"nobody deserves what this people are going through." - Meeklo
*I know.. getting to participate in democracy is so crappy."so your cheering for the insurgency to win?"-virtu
"aren't we all?"-2cent
*Yes.. yes you are.. with Ted Kennedy and Kerry as your valiant leaders"and, why in the hell would people be pissed off that the iraqis voted, and there were minimal voting day deaths. why would people be in opposition to that?" - virtu
*Because 99% of them are communists"go and cheer about it on some political board then. it only upsets people when you do it here."-nick
*what a little liberal bitch"I know what you mean about being a bit more enthusiastic bout it, but the Sunni's really didn't vote."-mr(small penis)dobolina
*good God! 8 million of them voted!"I wish Iraq the best, but we could use some of those billions for our schools and youth PROGRAMS here too." - pocho
*Liberals always talking about programs.. get a job

so, you thought Iraq held general elections yesterday? Wow, we have come so far only to know so little. let's use logic. . .the ideal situation for Iraq would have been a self-propelled overthrowing of Saddam and the Batthists...this could have revealed a party that was intent on 'transforming' Iraq, maybe a takeover, maybe a cry for democracy...we'll never know. Now, just add Bush's lies, legendary stupidity, and infinitely unwise choices to the pre-existing 'political climate' of Iraq....
you permanently alter the 'political landscape' of Iraq by invading it, thus MUTATING anything in the 'natural course of events for a potentially democractic Iraqi state.' It's like processing corn into corn syrup...two totally different and UNNECESSARY operations......

abizzyman good luck. These guys are trolls and have no solutions. They fall back on insults and comedy to cover their ignorance.
Yesterday was a historical day. 8 million Iraqis (70% of registered voters) for the first time stood up for democracy in the face of terror threats. They stood up with the coalition. They stood up with their interim government. They stood up along side of their Iraqi soldiers. They stood against dictatorship. They stood against the media. They stood against the insurgents. 40 people died for 8 million to vote.
8 million.
but the people here don't want to admit that America did something worthy of praise and instead pull out that 36 or 40 people died. They focus on the "what's next" factor rather than celebrate a clear victory and step towards a civil society.
To try and say that 8 million Iraqis voted so that the US can leave Iraq is just ludicrous, laughable and stems from frustration, anger and envy.
It is so obvious to see that people like mrdobolina are frustrated and scrambling to pull up something that will darken such a light that the world saw yesterday.
It must be frustrating to see that figure of 8 million and makes you wonder if there were people here that prayed for more deaths to avoid success.
8 million mrdobolina. 8 million.

well, to throw in my 2 cents again, if you look at the oldest principals of conservative politics you will see that they are the most hesitating in "modifying/tweaking an existing mechanism/system, unless all other options are exhausted and then still all consequences of intervening in an existing self-controlling/governing system must be calculated"
well i am not sure if i translated this well, but i have read a most interesting article on this in a Dutch (conservative) newspaper..
it seems rather contradictory to Bush's agenda..
