i went to a gun show today, saw a lot of civil war, wwI, and wwII collectors pieces, some in excellent condition.
i went because i was looking to buy a Taurus .45 24/7 Pro, just a 10+1 hammerless around $400-$500

but once i saddled up to this bad boy and had a look across the coliseum through it's scope

i've decided that the price difference is totally worth it.
the 82A1/M107 is officially on my list of things to purchase in the next 12 months. maybe a birthday present for next july
anyone else play responsibly with irresponsible weapons? if so, what do you have?
Font Creation Oct 2, 07, 12:49 p.m.
I have recently started designing a new face and I've come quite a long way so I've decided to go all out. I'm looking for a resource of type knowledge to apply as I complete the details.
I have a list of panagrams I plan on using to check my characters weights and balances against one another with.
Should I just leave myself to the Western 1252 Characters?
Anyone know of a quick list that details the name and usage of the entire character map? Similar to http://www.myfonts.com/fonts/agf… but without having to click each character for details.
Is there a list of the top 26-144 letter combinations? such as Th, th, St, st, mm, nn, ss, ff, rs, etc? (Or even better, on the programming side, is there a way to examine a body of text and report back the top 50 or whatever most used 2 letter combinations?)
Along the same lines, what other words could I take care of as well? Like; as, the, of, on, off, with, open, closed, etc...
What's the optical illusion that requires the O's & S's to be enlarged slightly?
And please feel free to add anything else you think I might be overlooking.
Thanks

does anyone have one or have experience using one?
i'm interested in buying one to further my recent photography hobby bug, but at $1100, i really have no idea what lens length i would be interested in
seems i can choose from 24mm, 45mm, or 90mm.
any opinions?

you can see where he came from, i'm happy the insect traps were down from the spider bite episode. it's hot and humid in the midwest, apparently big yard living isn't all it's cracked up to be, i mean seriously, WTF!? where would that thing be in my house without that trap?
Canadian Snipers in Afghanistan Jul 20, 07, 11:51 a.m.
http://strangers.tv/vid/Making_a…
They never saw it coming
Canadian Sniper wiping out Talaban Snipers. In Afghanistan. These
video shots are not made through the shooter's telescopic sight. They are
made looking through the spotter's scope. The spotter lies right next to the
sniper and helps the sniper to find and home in on the target.
The sniper is using a 50 calibre rifle. A 50 cal. round is about 7-8 inches long and the casing is about an inch in diameter. The bullet itself is one-half inch in diameter and roughly one and one-half inches long.
Pay close attention to the beginning of the video. A Taliban is laying on top of the peak in front of you... when you hear the shot fired....watch what happens. The sniper is also about a half mile away... or more. A
Canadian sniper in Afghanistan has been confirmed as hitting an enemy soldier at a range of 2,310 meters (7565 ft/1.43 miles), the longest recorded and confirmed sniper shot in history. The previous record of 2,250 meters (7369 ft/1.4 miles) was set by US Marine sniper Carlos Hathcock in Vietnam in 1967. The Canadian sniper was at an altitude of 8,500 feet and the target, across a valley, was at 9,000 feet. Canadian sniper units often operated in support of US infantry units, which were grateful for their help. The record lasted only one day, until a second Canadian sniper hit an enemy soldier at 2,400 meters (7860 feet/1.48 miles). The Canadian snipers fire special 50-calibre McMillan tactical rifles, which are bolt-action weapons with five-round magazines. The Canadian snipers were the only Canadian troops operating without helmets or flak jackets as they had too much other equipment to carry. Each three-man team has one sniper rifle, three standard rifles Canadian (C7s), one of them with a 203mm grenade launcher.

Anyone else have a worthless flatmate?
My bro and I live together and we let a friend of ours move in with us.
so far he has turned the front into a swap meet by parking a tarp covered motorcycle in the driveway to leak for the past year
installed a garden that looks more like a trash pile in the backyard
let his dog rip up the carpet in his room s well as the back screen door
and to boot, i work late nights and there hasn't been a day i woke up he wasn't already ass deep in the leather couch staring at the big screen.
also, i made him this for him to help make some extra cash

nice copy huh?
any advice on worthless house mates or at least getting this piece of shit motivated?

Site Rips Jun 7, 07, 1:22 p.m.
I see them posted here all the time. Well I found one. A true to life rip. I know this because I know the owner designer and the guy who provided the back end for it as well. I've already informed the ripped, he got a good chuckle it seemed. My only question now is do I post the rippers site and let the community have at it?
