Does anyone here have a hand gun?

Do any of you have carry permits and take them with you when you go on a road trip or photography mission etc?

The reason I ask is I found out that a lot of US photographers I talk to online do take them when they go out photographing.

DIY Macbook stand Mar 25, 08, 12:33 a.m.

I would like to build a timber Macbook Pro stand to save room on my desk and help keep the thing cool when I am using it as a desktop with external monitor/mouse/keyboard. I have put an illustration together below to demonstrate what I have in mind.

My question is: will the optical drive accept disks properly when stood up on a stand like this or will it break the drive?

We have a door in our office that opens outwards to reception. When I'm leaving the office and ladies are entering the office we often get to the door at the same time. There is a security swipe card on her side but not mine. The door also opens towards her.

What is the right thing to do!

* If I open the door so she doesnt have to swipe, I cant hold door open as it as I will have to walk past her.

* More often than not I open the door and then they hold it open for me. Feels all wrong.

A few people have approached me about buying photographs from me over the last few months so I have decided to put a basic site up. I will only be selling like 50-60 photos at a time so I didn't think it was worth creating a full e-commerce monster.

Any feed back though would be much appreciated as now I'm thinking the site might be a bit toy?

Hi NTers,

Just was interested to hear you're opinions on medical examinations (drug tests to be specific). I have decided to take a role at a large company and have to take a medical exam before I start. This requires usual crap like blood pressure etc. The bit that bugs me is I will have to strip down to my boxer shorts and urinate into a cup while a nurse sits in the front row and makes sure I'm not cheating.

I cant help thinking to myself that I wouldn't piss infront of my wife so why should I infront of this chic. Can't they just take a blood sample?

Feeling a little humiliated becuase corporations will make sure that ou jump through hoops and at the end they take the piss out of you to be sure you're not having fun on the weekends and you have a functioning wang.

*before anyone asks I'm happy with my wang size so its not an embarrissment issue.
