  We have a door in our office that opens outwards to reception. When I'm leaving the office and ladies are entering the office we often get to the door at the same time. There is a security swipe card on her side but not mine. The door also opens towards her.

  What is the right thing to do!

  Below is a diagram of said door.
  

  

  * If I open the door so she doesnt have to swipe, I cant hold door open as it as I will have to walk past her.

  * More often than not I open the door and then they hold it open for me. Feels all wrong.

  You say the swipe card is on her side, yet the diagram clearly shows a woman on the other side of the door from the swipe card. You go to the trouble of creating a custom diagram just for this post, and it doesn't even correctly depict the problem.
