Getting back into photography... wanted to get opinions on digital cameras. Price is flexible... though probably nothing over $2-3k. Looking for something that takes good action shots, shoots video well, and does well in low light.

Size doesn't matter... though its gotta feel good in my hands. ;)

CS5 Font Issues Oct 18, 10, 12:43 p.m.

Noticing when I open CS4 photoshop files in CS5 that the kerning is all out of whack. There is definitely inconsistent spacing between letters. For example... I have some buttons that have 11pt Arial with 20px gutters on each side. In CS5, the text increases in width.

Anyone else have issues like this? Any way to resolve?

Photoshop CS4 Quirk? Jan 27, 10, 10:14 a.m.

So... after upgrading to CS4 and using it for a bit I'm noticing when I use the rectangular marquee tool and I select something, the marquee looks like its a pixel off. Does anyone else experience this?

Just wondering if there is a fix for this...

Anyway, I'm looking to upgrade to a better system. Problem is I'm not an audiophile. I want to purchase something that:

1. sounds great (duh)
2. I can play my music on my computer
3. something that sounds great for movies (when I watch something while I work)
4. I'd like to hang/attach to my ceiling so something that is designed for that purpose.

I've read good things about http://www.monitoraudiousa.com and http://www.audioengineusa.com ... but I'm just a little gunshy.. especially since I can't test drive them.

I'm kinda splurging so, at this point, all suggestions are welcomed.

I've been thinking of upgrading my home theater system... possibly cleaning it up a bit... a bit more minimal without losing any sound quality.

1. Does anyone have any experience with those all-in-one speaker systems? high-end... low-end... I'm not really searching a price range so if dropping another $1k to get a good system works, I'm down with it.

2. Do they make any that are compatible with HD equipment?

I looked at B&W Panorama ( http://www1.bowers-wilkins.com/d… ) but it does scary me a tad how limited the input/output panel is.

Any thoughts before I research more?

My 4 year old is driving me crazy. I have De Blob which he and I both like to play. He usually likes it more when I play and he watches. Anyway... seems like every time he gets on to play (when I'm not around) he finds away to delete all the progress I/we've made. It's driving me nuts. I've had to play from the start 3 times now.

So, say I have 1000 products and I want to photograph them all the same... same angle, same background, same lighting... and shoot each at multiple angles... front, back, left side, right side, top, bottom...

... what is the best way to do this? I'm assuming it would need to be some type of setup... just not sure how to capture the different angles... keep lighting consistent, etc.

Plus... I'm an amateur at best when it comes to photography... so I'd probably want to go the simple route...

Any thoughts? All help would be great.

For Mac Users... what is everyone using to do their billing, expense reporting, etc...?

I'm in the market for an all-in-one solution and I need to find something that allows for multi-location access. Quickbooks online would be sweet if it were MAC based as well... but I don't want to have to run something like Bootcamp in order to access it.

Any thoughts?
