Thermochromatic ink/paper Aug 21, 11, 1:08 p.m.

Has anyone ever worked with thermochromatic papers/inks/dyes? I'm trying to prototype a mockup of something but I'm not even sure if the temperature ranges work with the dyes/papers I'm reading about online.

Anyone have any printers they've worked with that use this stuff?

So a good friend of mine is moving to Boston early next year and her husband, a video editor/producer is looking to network so he can get some work. Any good places to start? I don't know the creative scene at all in Boston so any advice would be appreciated.

Anyone have an easiest/best way to convert Real Video files to an MP4 file?

I don't have the original digital files that created the Real Video. I have source tape, but no time to convert and reedit. I know this seems ridiculous to attempt, but for reasons beyond my control, I am forced to work with this format.

I always forget. Is there a good rule of thumb for a target video file size when compressing it for the web?

I've got a 480x270 FLV that's 620 MB. The runtime is about 45 minutes. The file size seems way to big.

MacBook acting as harddrive Dec 5, 09, 11:20 a.m.

I know with firewire, there is a way to get one laptop plugged into another and treat one as an external firewire hard drive.

However, if the second computer only has USB and no firewire, is there another way to do this? I have a MacBook Pro and a MacBook and the latter's screen is not working.

Flash question Oct 6, 09, 8 p.m.

I have three buttons with similar script as shown below. When a user clicks on a button, it opens a new window. The user can reselect the original window (and not close the newly opened window) and click a new button, but it opens a third window. How can i get the 2nd window have its content replaced instead?

Does anybody try to accommodate this browser? There are still a lot of people using it (upwards of 20% by some counts) but man, it's a pain to deal with.

If you were going through a major redesign, would you still try support this browser? Is "degrading gracefully" even an option with this thing?
