So a good friend of mine is moving to Boston early next year and her husband, a video editor/producer is looking to network so he can get some work. Any good places to start? I don't know the creative scene at all in Boston so any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

He's less of a designer, more of a producer though. I've browsed through all the job boards for him already but he's more of a producer than anything. Now, I'm just looking for firms/organizations he might reach out in the next couple of months.
But thanks for the boston aiga link.

I am a designer and I actually attend non-designer events to make contacts, network and or get work. Do you really think by attending and or joining only "producer & video events" that he will find work?

sorry, i just meant i was looking for resources i hadn't already thought of (such as AIGA Boston). I completely agree that as broad of a list as possible is what I'm looking for.

Oh, settle down, everyone. She's looking for her husband...give a girl a break.
Some suggestions:
- reach out to WGBH: they have a great studio and some fine talent
- check out the Boston indie film festival: www.iffboston.org
- talk to folks at the Museum School as well as Mass Art film programsThose are good starts to connect with other filmmakers.
