hypothetical question:
if i was to buy a <50cc scooter here in minneapolis (which basically means pretty small (aout 30mph top speed) and i can park it up on sidewalks and lock it up like a bike)) would it really be:
1)more-or-less as safe as riding a bike (yeah i realize that ain't that safe, but still)?
2)will it actually be faster than the subway?
3) convenient to park and lock (especially if we live in the not-so-nice parts, on the 8th floor, etc. etc.)
4) worth bringing there in the first place? or should i just bring my bike and my walking shoes...and of course my subway pass.

this is quite possibly a really stupid question, but would buying a polarized lens filter eliminate glass reflection? example: i am sitting on the bus, and i want to shoot something that is outside. a polarized filter would eliminate glare/reflection of me and the inside of the bus?

i happened to get sick as a dog 12 hours before the 12 hour flight back to the states. my ears are still plugged up 13 hours later, and i am typing this all hopped up on cold meds, sleep meds, and crack meds...

argentina travel pt.2 what to see? Dec 27, 07, 8:07 p.m.

the time is almost at hand! we will be going to argentina the end of february for 2 weeks.we will be flying into buenos aires.

so...where should we go? the only thing we have on the itinerary right now is taking a plane to mendoza for a 3-5 day trip.

I would love to see iguaza falls, and would also love a chance to get into chile or uraguay/brazil for a bus trip for a couple days??

we don't plan on traveling any further south (due to the fact that we are trying to get away from the mn weather!), so any suggestions in the north-bound region would be great!
