Indiana Jones and the... Aug 13, 07, 7:15 a.m.
Indiana Jones and the Itchy Nethers.
Cloverfield Jul 9, 07, 6:32 a.m.
So who else saw that spooky secretive trailer attached to Transformers?
Apparently written and directed by "Lost" people. Rumors are that this may be a giant monster movie of some sort. Any ideas or info? It looked like fun. :)
I Heart Kanye Jan 25, 06, 10:14 a.m.
Y'know, I'm not particularly interested in this guy's music, but he is an interesting bird.
"If I was more complacent and I let things slide, my life would be easier, but you all wouldn't be as entertained," he says. "My misery is your pleasure."
The strangest tangent of the Rolling Stone story, however, is when West says he's addicted to pornography. He remembers first seeing his father's Playboy magazine when he was 5 years old.
"Right then," West says, laughing, "it was like, `Houston, we have a problem.'"
Iron Man Jul 31, 07, 7:53 a.m.
Wow, I am kinda psyched. Downey Jr. gets to be both funny and pretty bad assed.
Things that scarded you Jun 6, 08, 9:51 a.m.
I noticed that everyone has strange things that scared them when they were little. Sometimes obvious, sometimes odd minutiae.
What scared you?
I was scared of:
-Album cover of "The Stranger" by Billy Joel
-This Sesame Street segment involving these guys in separate beds with long beards. One wanted the window open and the other wanted it closed. Freaked me out.
-There was a station ID for a movie channel that scared me. This is circa 1979 in Florida, so I can't remember which.
Amish shooting Oct 2, 06, 12:12 p.m.
Yikes, now the school shootings have gone to the Amish. Wtf?!
Stalker Jul 10, 07, 11:02 a.m.
So a female friend of mine is being stalked by this guy. He is actually both of our ex-boss. I haven't worked there for over a year, and she left sometime around January. In the past month he has been sending constant text messages and calling her. Creepy and cryptic messages. I just found out about all this as I haven't spoken to her in a few weeks.
Anyone have advice on how to deal with this? I am personally trying to convince her to call someone, cops or an attorney, to get this on record. But I am looking for other thoughts. Thanks folks.
< Spike's Al Gore video Jun 5, 06, 3:31 p.m.
Wow. Had he spoken with that kind of honesty and candor during the actual campaign, I would have voted for him, and perhaps believed in him.
Tipping at Starbucks Jul 9, 09, 1:17 p.m.
What are your thoughts and practices on tipping at counter service joints in general?
I'm still hesitant, and generally won't unless the clerk/server has done or made something requiring more effort, or I've been in a number of times and haven't tipped in a while. Sort of like a cumulative tip. But only if the service is always friendly and hassle free.
Don't get me wrong, I'm a big tipper at restaurants and any other service based trade where tipping is the norm. But counter service at a franchise, really?
Lady Gaga = Illuminati Puppet Aug 13, 09, 7:08 a.m.
This one goes out to all the loons out there.
"The symbolism surrounding Lady Gaga is so blatant that one might wonder if it’s all a sick joke. Illuminati symbolism is becoming so clear that analyses like this one becomes a simple exercise of pointing out the obvious. Her whole persona (whether its an act or not) is a tribute to mind control, where being vacuous, incoherent and absent minded becomes a fashionable thing."

The ignorance of it all Jan 30, 06, 7:27 a.m.
I'm finally calming down after being completely enraged from this conversation I overheard nearby. I couldn't do anything since it involved several high-ups and company owners. The gist is that the IT guy here is Indian and a Hindu. He just spent the past week moving his family into a new home. One of these other people went to drop something off to him when he wasn't home. On their door, they had placed a golden hindu swastika, an ancient symbol within many faiths, often representing a home blessing of sorts. He was confused, and thought it was a Nazi swastika. So he's now telling this story, and every in the room is horrified, and saying that they should tell him to take it down, oh my god what will neighbors think, he's not going to make many friends in the neighborhood, and so on. Out of fear and ignorance, they were actually going to tell a man to remove an ancient symbol of his faith from his OWN F*ING HOME! And this was a room full of Jews!! Historically persecuted much?! I couldn't believe my ears. I was so angry I was shaking and had to go away into the bathroom.
Ok...I am a calm tree. My branches blow gently in the wind.
Another QBN Dad!! Oct 20, 08, 8:03 a.m.
Our daughter, Gianna Angeline Ludvigsen, was born on Friday, 10/17/08. She's a right bit of loveliness. So I am now an official member of the QBN parent club. Yay!

Favorite Spam Subject LInes Nov 8, 07, 5:50 a.m.
Yeah spam is irritating as all hell. But I've noticed that the subject lines (which is all most of us ever see) get kind of creative. So post your favorites. This came to me this morning and made me chuckle.
"May i ask why you're so unhappy with your dic'k?"

I hate this show just a little more now.
Single Malt Scotch Oct 31, 07, 6:08 a.m.
Who else is a lover of this fine distilled family of liquids.
My favorites are usually Dahlwhinie and Lagavullin. But I just discovered:
Good god was it good. Any other favs or reccomendations. Trying to organize a tasting with friends soon.
don't care Mar 7, 07, 8 a.m.
I'm having one of those days when I just don't care about anything going on. Everyone else's enthusiasm, and clever ideas has become battery acid in the bone-dry cavern of my soul.
I feel so exhausted by everything work, media, and advertising related.
Anyone else? :(
Send hugs, heroin, and haagen-daaz if possible.
PeeTalk™ Mar 27, 06, 1:03 p.m.
I just walked into the men's room to go pee, and some dork is in a stall, sitting on the can, talking on his cell phone. I hate that. Kind of pissed me off(no pun intended). So I decided whomever was on the other line, deserved to know where this guy was. I got into the stall next to his, and made the loudest pee noises I possibly could. I think I heard a very muffled "What's that sound?" come from his earpiece. He replied, "Uh, I don't know. I think it's outside." That made me pee harder from laughing, accented by quick bursts. "Schlorp! Schlorp! Schlorp!"
