Vintage Vector Nov 7, 10, 9:30 p.m.

Hi Guys,

I am looking for a source to buy some vintage vector illustrations. Specifically nature/scientific renderings of animals and birds.

I have googled alot of vector sites and most of them are really low quality. Last time I needed something like this I went to the library and scanned stuff in from old science/nature books. I just dont have access to a library at the moment.

Anyone got any ideas?

Does anyone know what the font used for the 'CONTROLLERS" part of the Voodoo controllers logo is (not the VOODOO part of the logo)?

Its the same one used for the "VOODOO" in the pop up ad that you have to close in order to surf the page...

So I got myself a HTC Desire and rooted it, pretty fun.

Just wondering if there is any theme out there that was actually designed by a designer and is an improvement on the HTC skin? The HTC skin is a but web 2.0...I need something more minimal...

Hi Guys,

This may be a shot in the dark but I am looking for some free web hosting, maybe just a week trial while I set up my site and then Ill just buy the year plan if I like it.

I wanted to try using indexhibit.com to build a very simple CSS site.

They require the following:
Linux/Apache server*
PHP4+
MySQL 3.23+

I asked my company if I could use their server to test my site but they wouldnt let me. I need to have a server in order to use indexhibitm since its a web app.

Does any one know where I could get a free trial on a hosting service that would work with indexhibit?

I am designing an interface for a mobile app and I want to use either Eurostile or Bank Gothic. The problem is that the client does not want to pay for the font. Does anyone know of a free font (i know its sacrilege) that would be a good alternative to Eurostile?

Tecnical Question.
Would anybody happen to know how to take a pic in photoshop and break it into 4 layers C M Y and K...Like I used to duplicate the pic four times and then change each layer to C, M, Y and K. I used to do it with the channel mixer ...but I cant seem to get it to work in CS4...either that or I am missing something completely...Last time I did it I think was on CS1...when I select a channel mixer the output channel is already on cyan 100% with MYK on 0% but the layer looks the same....i have to be missing something here...

So one of my friends is setting up a business making Jams and Chutneys and that. She was telling me the other day that she is learning dreamweaver (shes not a designer) and I was trying to convince her to go with wordpress otherwise she will make a complete balls of the site.
