I am almost certain you need to pay pantone for the dang swatch library. You get a swatch book, and a cd. No idea on cost.
- it is expensive. if anything i suggest to get the FANs instead of the perf'd cards.e-pill
- also dont give out your pantone books, b/c every designer will keep it.e-pill
- you have to purchase a few things if you want it digitally.. so the cost jumps up.e-pill
- the books on their own are usually pricey.. so research b4 you spend. as they offer many.e-pill

you can order the pantones here-
http://www.colorguides.net/panto…if you need the exact pantone use the [PDF]
http://www.pantone.com/downloads…Pantone will not allow you download the file for free.
you can torrent it though.. but i wont post any links for that.

for the official Pantone Illustrator TPX/TPC swatches you have to buy the CD.

- it's just a standard AI swatch file on the cd, silly you gotta pay $50 for itinkpink

... that said, I have seen user-created swatch sets on the Adobe share forum.

good luck.- not sure about this... i think it'd take some work to export a complete AI swatch set from that appinkpink
- you need that app + the CD, also you will need to eventually purchase a TPX book.e-pill
- sorry you don't need the app with the CD. it's just an .ai file on the CD, you drop in your swatch folder.inkpink
- i honestly only use the books. this was my first time on their site, i just ⌘C ⌘V from it..e-pill
- i have the TPX Fans.. they are the best.. but i use it directly with fabrics, not digitally..e-pill

calibrated lookup tables for licensed printers
http://www.pantone.com/pages/cal…"A Look-Up Table is a specially created set of color data developed by Pantone color scientists that most closely represents the colors in the PANTONE MATCHING SYSTEM on a specific printer model. When a printer is PANTONE-calibrated, the printer manufacturer has engaged Pantone to develop this specially optimized color data so that the customer can get the best possible representation for the PANTONE Solid Color standard on coated stock. We take into consideration the specific driver/RIP, device settings, ink set, color engine and paper stock used when we develop this color data since all these factors can affect color output.
Below we have provided printable PDF color charts for all PANTONE Calibrated devices. The PDF color chart contains a set of color data (in CMYK or RGB) specially created for the device.
You may also consult your printer manufacturer to obtain additional application support files (I.e. Color Palettes for Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Indesign, Macromedia Freehand, CorelDRAW, etc...) or visit their web site for additional PANTONE Color Support for your printer."
