In Delhi, you can visit Agrasen ki Baoli, an ancient stepwell in the heart of the city, known for its eerie ambiance and unique architecture. The Toilet Museum is another quirky spot, chronicling the history and evolution of toilets for a bizarre yet educational experience. For a modern twist, check out the Kingdom of Dreams, an entertainment complex showcasing Bollywood-style live performances, cultural shows, and diverse cuisine. In Chandigarh, the Rock Garden stands out as a surreal garden made from industrial and urban waste, featuring unique sculptures and artworks. Elante Mall, one of the largest in India, offers a modern shopping experience with a variety of international and local brands, entertainment, and dining options. The Le Corbusier Centre, dedicated to the famous architect who designed the city, provides fascinating insights into urban planning and modernist architecture.
In Udaipur, Shilpgram is an arts and crafts village that showcases traditional crafts, art, and cultural performances from Rajasthan and neighboring states. The Ahar Cenotaphs, less visited by tourists, offer an eerie and beautiful glimpse into the region’s history. For a unique modern attraction, visit the Under the Sun Aquarium at Fateh Sagar Lake, home to exotic marine life. Additionally, don’t miss out on trying local street food, from Delhi’s famous chaat to Udaipur’s dal baati churma, to savor the culinary delights of each city. Exploring the nightlife in these cities, especially Delhi with its vibrant clubs and bars, will add a contemporary flavor to your trip. Shimla - a hill station is the north is definitely worth a visit. Try to get there by train too as the journey there goes through beautiful scenery. I spent 6 months travelling all over India from top to bottom and this was the best town I visited. I've still got such happy memories, but sadly no photos as the girl I was travelling with at the time took them all with her back to Australia when we split up and I've never seen them since.

Also the abandoned city of Fatehpur Sikri is worth the desert trek. I remember the guide explaining how Emperor Akbar would have his enemies vanquished by getting his herd of elephants to hover their feet above the poor guys heads as they were all lined up in the square and if they were guilty (of course they usually were) then splat!!!
