I have a Telefunken Senator that no longer works – vacuum tubes lol – but someday I'll have the system replaced with something from this century. Bluetooth-compatible, of course.
- take it in and get those tubes replaced. had to do it with my stereo, well worth it.doesnotexist
- Nobody around here works with console stereos, I've checked.i_monk

Not my photos, but I have a Pioneer PL-600
An AKAI CS-702D
Some amp and big speakers. They're all in storage, lol.
It's just easier to daisy chain 4 or 5 bluetooth speakers, there's one in every room, and I have one with a subwoofer if I decide I want to piss off my neighbors.
Used to be big into vinyl, and now I've sold everything that isn't a straight up collector's piece. Piracy and bluetooth forever.

I do now. Bought a Onkyo TX-8220 Receiver + Amp (100 Watts each channel)
to power these 70 Watt Electro-Voice Leytons that I bought at a yard sale for literally $50. Coincidentally they are the exact height and wood tone as my media center.
And I got a Denon DCM-340 5-Disc CD player. Hooked my TV and everything up to the receiver too and everything sounds fucking rad through them. Broke them in with Kind of Blue and I just melted away.

PS: fuck records. CDs sound great through a good sound system and they cost $1-5 at most shops as compared to $50 for some beatles album. you can find like 100 copies of the biggest hit records too, as well as lots of obscure stuff. And copies are lossless. If you're in it for the tunes and not the pretension, CDs are where it's at.

- I'm generally in agreement about digital, but you can't replace/beat the true sound of analogueIanbolton

- The Lintons are epic, without spending crazy money. The Dentons sounded pretty good too but I had just finished some freelance so it worked out.slappy
