Do you love your job?
I thought I liked my job, but now I don't.
I work in house at a company that I thought was doing interesting things. But it's not exciting anymore. It hasn't been exciting for a while.
Half of my coworkers have left for other jobs.
Management is ditzy. Our creative director is freelance and only works 1 day a week.
I feel like I do the bulk of the grunt work and there's no room for advancement.

I like a bunch of the people in my team, I like the majority of the work I have to do, I like some of the clients I get to work with, and I appreciate the relative flexibility of hours/days worked etc.
I think 'love' is probably too strong a word, but I'm okay with that. There are plenty of things outside of work that I love.

Fuck no. It's miserable as all shit and the only saving grace are some of the people in the office.
Three of us went to see Depeche Mode when they were in Stockholm, then the next day we decided on a whim to take a jaunt to Oslo to see them again. Great times were had by all - especially a friend taking me to the teeny-tiny black metal record store and buying Huggy Bear's first single. Shit like that is worthwhile.
But work is dull as all fuck tbh and I curse it every day.

I like my job. I'm good at it, I (mostly) like my colleagues. Don't know about love.

Well, as much as "loving my job", no. But I enjoy it a lot. I value listening to my client and pushing what they think they need to the limit. And then after three or four years, and seeing a lot of people enjoy it, it makes me feel good. Payment in advance.

yes, to a point where I keep thinking what I'd do if there weren't computers
started cooking a few years ago, loving it too, but would never work with it

Nope

All jobs I've had (full-time) result in eventual burnout where money isn't an issue but satisfaction is.
All jobs I've had (freelance) result in financial issue(s) and feast and famine reality, but i'm satisfied otherwise.
I bounce between these 2 realities every few years or so and am currently on the latter.
My wife has a stable career which allows it to sort of work; I love my wife's job.

At 22 I was in a soul destroying job. I hated it, it made me unhappy. I could see my future career path and i didn't like what it was promising.
So I gave it up and swore that if I ever wake up in the morning and feel like not wanting to go to work, i'd change my job. And, to this day I've been true to that promise. I've had nearly 3000 jobs...joke ;-)
"Love' is an inaccurate description for what I feel about my work. But, it is creative, stimulating, exciting, challenging, full of adventure, privileged, pretty well payed and it allows me the time I need to do the stuff I really love, nurture my family and enjoy my friends.
I've achieved a pretty good balance.

My manager told me yesterday that I probably don't like my job, and I probably don't, and probably... I'll be looking for a new one very soon

I love the creative freedom of my job. But it's very, very difficult that I'm always dependent on other people, primarily photo models. If they don't bring the same verve as I do, are superficial or just tired, then my projects are doomed to fail.
I wish to be able to work artistically in the future without needing models. AI will not be the solution. Maybe I'll just photograph many, many fewer models.
- are you literally complaining about the naked women that you get paid actual money to spend time with? You need some perspective, my friend.Projectile

As above.. LOVE is a strong word, but my current job is permalance, so I can come and go as I please, and fully remote so I'm earning London money from Lisbon, where salaries are 1/4. I work with a geat team and my manager is super chill - if the waves are good I can go surf unless there's a specific deliverable.
It;s all one identity so I do miss searching for fonts, experimenting with colour etc. but I do about 10 other projects a year which keeps my creative juices flowing
- sounds like a pretty sweet arrangement, good for youBuddhaHat
