Headed to Buenos Aires for a 3 week spur-of-the-moment vacation.
— Got an apartment in Palermo.
— Used to know Spanish, but haven't practiced in a decade.
— Bringing music production tools to take field recordings and make some songs.
— Bringing illustration tools too.I'm into weird shit, counter-culture, lowbrow art, and typically prefer local favorites over the big photo ops.
What should I make sure to do + see?

You should keep your shit on the DL so it doesn't get stolen.
Definitely need to speak spanish, start practicing.
BsAs has an all night, night life, go to as many clubs as you can.
There's plenty of LOCAL places.
Eat pizza and chorizo a lot.
Go to all the tourist places just to see if you like them, like San Telmo.
I'll write more later - I lived there for several years
- What shit and how DL?e-wo
- DL= down loweryx
- Just like in any big city, you should keep an eye on your shit. Burglars can smell foreigners and are frequently close to touristic spots.maquito
- In Buenos Aires, be specifically alert when using ATM cards, and while receiving change. Dude’s are fucking genius swindlers.maquito
- Reminds me of this vid i saw a couple days ago it's in BA, https://www.youtube.…i_was

There’s a cool Chinese Town in Juramento, Belgrano. You can go by the D metro. Eat meat. Drink Wine. Don’t get mugged. Cheap coke.
Also a very cool under art and gift gallery in Once: Bond Street. Get yourself a Ramones Vinyl and some weed.
Best spots to have a Bife de Chorizo are those where the working class eats, not the expensive snob restaurants.
The Japanese Garden has a pretty decent restaurant, and is a pretty cool day trip.
Eat a “super pancho”. Have a Havanna Alfajor. Drink a Fernet-Cola. If you want to, there’s plenty of neat pubs in Cañitas.
Enjoy!

Oh, and Salon Pueyrredon is the best night spot by far. It’s owners are legit punk rockers, and there’s usually live music.

I lived there for 4 years!
This was my favourite parilla, super authentic no tourists.

Closed door restaurant. Check out their menu for the nights you are there. Took several cooking courses there. He's from the states. Top 10 on Trip Advisor.

Hostel I lived out of for a few months, until it became too much - caught a creeper from London who spied on me while I was effing the girl from New Zealand.
- Hostel El Sol - I think Paul still runs it, he's a musician, struggling heterosexual, wants to be nice, but pretentious...canoe
- I say this shit about him because I overheard him profiling everyone that stayed there...saying it to the newest employeecanoe
- But the place is pretty cool regardless of the twat in chargecanoe
