Maybe not deserving of its own, but hey we've got a "baking meats" thread.
Anyway, one of our creative directors got removed/fired from an account and I'm going to take it over. I'm chatting with said CD today to talk about transition (team, account state etc).
Anyway, looking to the collective for ideas on how to make this conversation minimally awkward.

Ask him the time frame. Ask him the budget. Wait till he finishes talking at the end of the conversation, then ask him, "what is the criteria for success for this project?"
This is what you need to know.
- I know all that shit. Will keep in professional of course. I suppose it's more a question about tone and breaking the ice.wagshaft
- Doh! I see. Well, what's done is done, he'll be getting a better job anyway. Be yourself, just don't be too happyrobotron3k

I thought this thread was about you firing a Creative Director and taking over his Newstoday/QBN account.
