Yeah it seems ridiculous considering that the GOP is going to have the smallest Congressional majority in about a century. They only have a margin of a few votes and there are several people on the extreme crackpot right who refuse to cooperate with the leadership on basic tasks like passing a budget. Even if Trump tells them to vote a certain way they won't necessarily do it.
They are currently struggling simply to elect a speaker of the House, raising the possibility that Trump would not be inaugurated by January 20th. I assume they'll find a solution for that but is this really the Congress that's going to pass difficult spending cuts?

Elon Musk has bought an entire online media platform, delegitimised so-called 'legacy' media, filled his platform with bots which can then be aligned to promote whatever political narrative he chooses and then, to go fully maniacal, he decides to pick a side in which America is already split down the middle.
