My iMac is getting old and I need a new computer. Makes more sense to get a laptop.
Do you think 15" is enough? I'm used to my larger screen.
Do you all do most of your work on laptops?

I'm not an Apple, but I've never been able to muster work beyond admin from a laptop. *shrug*

15" and an external monitor and you should be fine. guess it really depends on what kind of work you do though.

I get a surprising amount done on this 15" display without an external monitor. Far more than I thought I would.

I was just thinking that it was about time someone asked this again....

For the cost of a 15 inch and a GOOD monitor, get a nice 27 inch iMac and a MacBook for travel/BS/lounge work. Might be a bit more but you get both...

one option if you get a laptop, use the imac in target display mode
- no iMacs in the last few years support that, at allmonospaced
- You can boot the iMac from MB in target disk mode via Thunderbolt.raf
- lol so you need to fully boot it up to use the screen?mekk
- Yes. But his way your MB drive is always your main drive. Haven't tested it though :)raf

Ive been thinking of getting the 13" MBP and pair it with my cinema display.
Still a bit hesitant on pulling the trigger on the MBP though. Reviews haven't been too kind on the MBP in general.
- lol @"havent been too kind" boy the MBP is a shitshow and the cinema display is nearly 10 years old and was dated at launchmekk

I think if you're going to use an external monitor and you're looking for portability, you might as well get the 13" instead. It's all a matter of what your needs are. I've been able to design websites and logos on my 15".
