Something went awry in CD4 R17. I can put an object in a subdivision surface and have it render properly but it won't work in the editor. This is not pleasant. How can I make stop this situation that I can't even imagine anyone wanting to happen?

Never mind. It was the SDS cage setting under options in the menu on the left. Maybe Maxon should try naming things in English.
