^^^Steve Jobs, this is the song. I use to play it as background music all the time when I was in college, and forgot about it. Found it again several months ago, and it made me feel nostalgic along with reminding me how much I love the song.
- Oh yeah, definitely know this one from my college years as well.SteveJobs

Just realized of the four following bands who, many would argue, ushered in the grunge music era (nirvana, pearl jam, alice in chains, and stp), all but one lost their lead singers.
- Chris Cornell is still alive. Many would also argue Billy Corgan and the SP where an important part of the movement even if they were a little more experimentalVectorMasked
- Yeah, thought about soundgarden after typing that, and smashing pumpkins also true i guess. though they were a slightly different breed of grunge to me.SteveJobs
- Silverchair also counts, but not that muchfeel
- Fucking Silverchair? How about Nickleback too and Headswim and Candlebox. Silverchair were about as credible as Take That. *whispers* I love Frogstomp though.Morning_star

a sad read about Weilands last few years from the mother of his 2 teenage kids ...
- fooler0
That is pretty sad but she's been demanding a huge amount of spousal and child support (rumored about 60K a month) so he had to stay on the road and try and make money.

How is she going to have a child with a rock star and not expect him to act like a rock star?
Talk about a tremendous lack of foresight.
- I'm sure there are rock stars who are great with their kids & love & support them unconditionally, it doesn't sound like that was the case at all with Weiland.Ramanisky2
- sure there are. we've all seen the Osbournes. But still, look at the toll the drugs took on Old Oz. He was lucky to have a smart wife like Sharondocpoz
- Im not going to even begin to speculate on Weiland's life based on his bitter ex-wifes account. Might as well ask his greatest enemy what his cons are.docpoz
- true true ... but i just got a different vibe reading her story than the one you got I guess about her being bitter.Ramanisky2
- But then who knows what goes on behind closed doors.Ramanisky2
- @docpoz, I agree with Ram, we don't know what went on behind closed doors. Maybe they had an agreement or he set expectations that weren't met.SteveJobs
