Sad news but kinda expected.
At least I got to see STP live a couple of years ago. Pretty bad show. Only Rob tried to put on a good show during that short 1-hour show.

I remember STP played a secret show at Tower Records in the early 2000's in San Diego...to about 200 people. great memory.

Part of the reason I briefly got into playing music was because of STP back in the day. Lost interest like most people but got to see them with some friends at the Hollywood bowl back in 2008ish. The show was kinda meh and hearing reports of Weiland's issues with drugs I was kind of expecting this. RIP man.

I can't find the clip from SNL because they pull everything off YouTube that ever gets posted, but I had recorded their 1993 performance on SNL on VHS in high school, and watched it constantly. The song Naked Sunday made me run out and get a wah wah pedal for my guitar almost immediately. I'd never heard that sound before and it was incredibly cool to me.
