Trump’s lawsuit against FB and Twitter is about as hilarious as it gets:
- he filed both lawsuits in federal court in Florida. Facebook and Twitter’s terms of service require suits against them to be filed in the California jurisdictions - federal or state - where their headquarters are located.
- he and *gasp* ACTUAL LAWYER AND LAW PROFESSOR Alan Dershowitz assert the case is the biggest First Amendment case of the 21st century. Shockingly, Dershowitz claims Trump’s 1A rights are being denied, but 1A has NOTHING to do with the rights of a corporation to ban users, because...
- when you agree to the terms and conditions (that nobody ever reads but confirms they do) you agree to a multitude of rules, and violating those rules can absolutely get you kicked off, and there’s nothing you can do about it. It’s not a 1A right to use Twitter or Facebook.
- lastly, Fox News viewers are among the dimmest and most gullible people living and breathing today. Avoid them. This video:
https://twitter.com/acyn/status/…- I’m amazed that trump can still find lawyers to work for him. Hasn’t he stiffed all his past lawyers?Gnash
- It's a fund raising campaign, they have a vast pool of dummies to exploit and they do it by drumming up bullshit grievances.zarkonite
- yeah, for dershewitz it is (new book), but this is gonna cost trump a pretty pennymonospaced
- yep, marketing and political theater. enjoy the showaliastime
- Mono: They launched an email campaign at the same time asking for donations to help with this. He's going to pocket that shit like last time.zarkonite
- Yes. To pay for his lawyers. Just like every time, the lawyers win, and Trump pays.monospaced
- Money grab. He's not stupid and will bleed his followers dry. That would be great if it didn't go straight into his pockets.formed
- Grab to pay lawyers. Trump won’t profit.monospaced

Trump, DeSantis lead CPAC straw poll
Former President Trump and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) led the pack in the Conservative Political Action Conference’s (CPAC) straw poll for the 2024 GOP presidential nominee.
Trump held a commanding lead, with 70 percent of those who responded to the survey saying they would vote for him in the Republican primary if it were held today. DeSantis came in second with 21 percent.
- Also true: 100% of the attendees at CPAC are fucking idiots.BK

Trump Ally Tom Barrack Charged With Secretly Working For UAE, Justice Department Says
Barrack, who chaired Donald Trump’s inaugural committee, altered the former president’s statements and policy on behalf of the Emirates, an indictment says.
Tom Barrack, a longtime friend of former President Donald Trump and the chair of Trump’s inaugural committee, secretly worked for the government of the United Arab Emirates for more than a year as he helped shape Trump’s campaign and presidency, according to a Justice Department indictment released on Tuesday.Prosecutors say Barrack and two partners ― a U.S. employee named Matthew Grimes and an Emirati liaison named Rashid Alshahhi ― illegally interfered in U.S. politics on behalf of a foreign power and then tried to hide the crime. Federal agents have arrested Barrack and Grimes; Alshahhi is at large.
The indictment reveals the often-successful efforts by the UAE, still a major U.S. partner in the Middle East, to exploit Trump’s haphazard approach to foreign policy to advance its own ends over U.S. interests. It also torpedoes the reputation of Barrack, a prominent real estate investor who helped bolster Trump among skeptics in the media and the business world.
