Anyone have a suggestion of a good external and portable sound amp to use with an iPhone, a iPad and sometimes a computer ?
Stuff like those http://www.fiio.net/en/products

A headphone amplifier doesn't actually produce sound by itself, it simply just makes the signal stronger for a set of headphones, etc. If it has a quality DAC incorporated, it can make the sound quality higher. If you're looking for a portable speaker, there are tons of options.
If I were to get one, I would probably buy a DAC/Amp from AudioEngine like this http://audioengineusa.com/Store/…

@mono
like this http://www.fiio.net/en/products/…
it says 'better sound quality' and 3 built-in EQ with different bass effect
- pre-set EQs rarely impress :/monospaced
- but its a chinese thing and i dont know if its a cheap poor gadgetBen99
- you should go to a pro audio shop and ask around and try things outmonospaced

- to be honest, a quality amp/dac will produce richer sound (high fidelity, true bass) without an EQ, especially with decent headphones/speakersmonospaced

My Fiio E10K USB DAC sounds great specially for the price. Ive tried expensive ones and I think its not worth the price for my ears. Ive DJed for years and my ears may or maynot be shot. I think as long as you have any DAC and decent cans you should be fine.

Oh also the expensive tube amps actually adds an effect the audio. Some people like that sort of thing. But Id rather listen to the audio the way the artist intended it to be heard.

Now you need the E09k.
FYI I hate this guy but he does good reviews.

I noticed old album, like for exemple 'Siamese Dream' by Smashing Pumpkins souns WAY better than most new labum produced in the last 10 years.
The iPod generation fucked up the way musician mix their music... they mix it with the iPod sound in mind... Distortion happend too often while the old stuff have smooth warm bass.
Music of today is worst than 25 years ago, technically for sound quality.
