Some similar ideas to Michael Tellinger's Contributionism. Definitely the way forward...

some of this ideas are interesting, some are utterly flawed (like community farming), but what bothers me most is that this sounds like a dystopian surveillance state

> exercise facilities nearby for everyone, and the city is designed to promote healthy living

> common center, which has security cameras
> neighborhood connected by an email group, so if someone sees a suspicious activity, the entire neighborhood is alerted in minutes
> immersion room: a small room with video walls so you can immerse yourself in studies, and also visit other places without leaving home

gawd this is so tempting to poke holes in. Suffice it to say I don't think this is going to fly... at least when compared to the failed hippie communes of the 60s and the general impoverishment of subsistence farmers around the world.
