Just moved into a new office space. Tons of lovely natural light, but now the glare on the monitors is killing everyone. Short of moving or installing shades, has anyone had the same issue and if so, how did you deal with it?

There are anti-glare screen protectors, but in the end you can't completely remove the hard light.

Put your jacket on top of your head and the screen.

fill the space between the window and the workspace?
You don't want to block out the light from the office - you just need to stop it flowing directly onto your screen.
- freestanding bookcase or summat. or a row of mannequins or a nice pot plant.Fax_Benson
- a row of mannequins... as if that were in any way normal LOLmonospaced

Rearrange your desk. Face away from the window.

Change desk maybe? OR CLOSE THE WINDOW, jesus....

Filter that light. Direct natural light can be crap, you might as well work outside. Those wearing glasses (for short sight rather than because wankers) are generally more sensitive too bright light too...

the newer imacs have much less reflections than the older ones...
- Yup I got one. Reflections are really dark green.monospaced

Why oh why oh why oh why oh why Apple decided to put glossy screens on their macs is so utterly beyond me. I struggle a bit in the summer at work.
I really loved my big white matte iMac.
- they say it's because color range is better... mine has reduced reflections but I still don't face it so it has glaremonospaced

Anyone have experience working with the anti-glare screen clings?
Can't rearrange the desks, they are in pods of 6–8. Historic building so we can't affix anything to the windows. Just looking for a short term solution until we can rig blinds into the ceiling.
- yeah, but they are fussy to get applied right and can bend.... also, they just result in a matte cover and aren't amazingmonospaced
