the logo isn't that bad, regardless of whether you see bits in it or not.
What is ugly is the immediate backlash, not from the public, but from other designers. Apparently all the rhetoric that a single jpeg isn't an entire brand and the knowledge that there's been a fuck load of work to get to that point goes out the window when there's a chance to make a glib one-liner.
Why would any company want to re-brand, and why would any designer want to do the work, when the default reaction is always negative no matter the quality of the work?
