I like it!
their new iphone up looks a lot nicer too.
I think we just got used to the old logo, I mean... remember the old logo? you could let a diaper drip poop on an old dirty couch and it would still look better than the old logo. It's a huge improvement for sure.
Now, is the new logo nice? well that is debatable, but given the circumstances I say its a go.

I'm not sure I agree that an angled logo increase "perceptions of trust and innovation."
- the italic type, it's leaning forward, which subtly implies innovation and leadingmonospaced
- the "bolder wordmark, stronger monogram" are about trustmonospaced
- you took it out of context, it was the combination of attributesmonospaced
- Designers make those choices for certain reasons, you know that as well as anyonemonospaced

Pfft. completely inaccurate. 100% cyan would not overprint additional magenta.//

I don't think I ever saw the old stacked PP version of the logo anywhere.

Another fine example of what happens when Industrial Designers 'design' a brand.

Why do companies always mock up lame things like tote bags?
- because they make these kinds of things for employees and for promotionmonospaced

Uninspiring, run of the mill, look alike, generic bull shit.
Mediocrity at it's finest.

Transparency? I was doing logos like this in 96. Weak and pointless. More suits bored at the top. Their logo looked fine and was very recognizable, and the business was doing well with it.
