You're spilling too much fap juice in your keyboard, that's the problem.

I've got this Logitech Solar powered keyboard. Wireless with full numeric keyboard. I have never run low on power (and I work in a basement). Build quality is quite good. Only issue is the caps locks doesn't have an indicator when it's on like the Apple one... otherwise very similar.
I got the white version.

Mighty Mouse, extended keyboard, both wired. Batteries were far more annoying than a cable ever is. No problems ever, but then I am capable of eating and drinking without a bib.

the more "texture" to feel with your fingers the better
otherwise you have to look at the keyboard all the time

Current Apple keyboard is great. I've had mine for years, works as new. I know Windows guys who will never buy a Mac but only use Apple keyboards with their PCs.
The only thing I could complain about is the built-in USB hub — it is outdated, but it's good enough for Wacom or any simple device that doesn't require full power.
If a damp cloth doesn't clean the grease and germs from your fat fingers off the keyboard, use the thing you should be using to clean your computery stuff anyway: 50% isopropyl alcohol. No need to dry-wipe, it evaporates right away.

as per naygon, i think i might pull the trigger on a Cooler Master Stealth with Brown Cherry switches as they are apparently as close to a HHKB as can be - they have 'em on sale at Best Buy ending today as well as fate would have it
then the fun begins with custom keycaps...

I'm using dell keyboards for a long time now, they're great, nice keys and design
the standard version is now this:
but they used to be badass looking like these:
they have a wireless one too, its nice, works fine and have shallow keys, very portable:

they never failed on me, just the wireless one because I lost its usb thinghy because I'm a fucking junkie

btw, I always hated macs for the lack of numeric pads, its just stupid
