Squarespace, a few questions

I didn't want to muddy the other Squarespace thread with my fledgling questions. And they are very basic.

I was hoping somebody could clear up some fundamentals for me:

    1. How similar is it to, say... Webflow, which i've used?

    2. I'm not sure i understand their pricing structure. They site bandwidth and page count in pricing. do you have to host on Squarespace or how does that apply if i want to place the site on my.com?

    3. can you let your account lapse and only subscribe when you need to make edits, or do they have you forever once you agree that you're a Squarespace user?

    4. and here's the ethical one... say they fold or get bought by somebody that closes them... are you up a creek on editing? i ask as to the ethics of using it for a client's site and then them not being able to make updates in 3 years or whatever.

In any event, thanks in advance for taking the time to read this far. bon champs.

    1. No idea
    2. It's hosted at Squarespace. You can use your own domain name but the site lives on their servers.
    3. No, if you stop paying, they shut the site down. Not just the admin side.
    4. Technically yes but I have yet to see a legitimate service provider not give you ample time and support to move elsewhere.

    thanks hereswhatidid.

    follow up:

    5. Can you house multiple client sites on your Business Account at SS or does each client have their seperate accounts?

    * An advantage to Webflow (a wysiwyg drag and drop coding site) is that you can export a site and upload on somebody else's server. So that client with a fixed site (relative) wouldn't have to pay a monthly premium to host a site.

Would be interesting to hear from anyone that could compare and contrast Webflow (or similar) to Squarespace (the 300lb Gorilla).
