I went with the withings pulse - the deciding factors were the pulse monitor and the fact that you don't wear it on your wrist, but you can if you want to.
So far so goo, but yesterday it didn't want to count steps until noon, so that was odd. Seems to be working fine again but the email to support has not been answered yet.
Second place was the misfit shine... still considering getting one of those and comparing the two.

was about to get this samsung gear fit, but then I was like 'nah', all of them, they're not quite it yet. They are crap smartwatches and crap sport watches. By now I would get some polar pulse watch or something, only if you really need it
- yeah, thought about that, but to drop that much cash on something that may or may not work is crazyflashbender
- I'll be all over version 3 thoughflashbender

Can't believe Nike decided to exit the market completely. I thought they were the frontrunner.
- doing a new one with apple by the looks of itset
- band was cool but the concept was crap, iPhone exclusive and shit.. gamification doesn't work long term for real sportspplmekk
- interesting, wasn't aware of the apple connectionmonospaced
- they announced an android app but it never came, there are 3rd party apps but not worth it..mekk

I have a fitbit flex and I love it. Gets me off the couch every day so I can at least hit my goal of 10k steps a day. Their customer service is great too. I had to get a replacement dongle and they sent it out asap with no questions asked.
Yeah. I said dongle.

^ that looks pretty good too. The waterproof bit is just so sensible

I've got the Misfit Shine, and quite happy with it.
http://www.misfitwearables.comIt's actually waterproof, and it can track activities other than just walking/running - like cycling and swimming.

No mention of the Sony one yet, waterproof too...

Cheers for that uan - I'm going to give the Withings Pulse a go, based largely on the fact that it is not on your wrist and it has a heart rate function.

sucks to have to put it in a wristband and manually put in the thing into sleepmode, but it works pretty well.
their next product Withings Aura is a sleep tracker radio alarmclock thing that looks interesting imo

Had not heard of that one before... looks pretty good.
How is the sleep analysis with that one?

I'm using the Withings Pulse. got that one, because the battery lastest the longest compared to the others when I got it.

It seems the Basis is not available in the UK... so I guess it is the UP24 for me

Fitbit isn't waterproof either. I can't understand that, makes no sense. Samsung makes a phone that can be submerged, how can a rubber band not be waterproof, at least to shower/swim with?
I agree, heart rate is something that is sorely missing. Why I liked (parts) of Samsung's device and why Apple's looks interesting.
Reminders - I was ready that the up24 can remind you to move, that, to me, is enough to make it worth it. I can't find that info again, though. I sit too much at these damn computers!

I think its ridiculous that most of these are not really suitable for swimming.
Does the fuelband track sleep patterns?
I'm liking the basis (https://www.mybasis.com/) mostly because it has a heart rate function. But not so sure I want one that looks like a watch.
Still haven't decided ... prolly fitbit or up24 but the up24 seems to have some serious reliability issues especially if it gets wet.
