- still doesn't prove anything, you should be weary of what you post, this picture is so far just some guys standing in a country road, you need to stop taking things at face value and ask for a photo of the base in the backgroundGeorgesIV

GeorgesIV, it actually touched me that you think that this revolution was sponsored by US. I do agree that there are parties that try to take advantage of the situation. I understand the hypocrisy of United States, but look at this video.. look at this faces. There is no way people would get manipulated into a stand off for 3(!) cold months.
There are people there who want better life.Slava Heroes, Slava Ukraine!!

I said it wasn't organic and there's lots of legit sources online pointing to that (watch the video I posted of the intercepted call),
now I'm not heartless enough to not feel the suffering of people I don't know,
what I'm saying is simple, this revolution isn't organic, the people who started it may have had good intention, but at soon as the neo nazi started burning shit up and attacking cops all the good spirit was crushed, look at the numerous examples of "revolutions" this pas century, how many can you say ended giving up the people a better quality of life, I don't know at what moment the propaganda was twisted by saying this is the west against the east but believe me ukraine ain't going to be better with europe than it was with russia, because
1• they're not going to be part of it
2• there will be no aids except for what the i.m.f will give them (I hope you know what it means)
3• no matter what you think of the president, he was elected democratically, it's a dangerous thing to say on one side that you have to respect democratically elected politician and on another that you can overthrow them, (imagine for a sec if the democrats started burning shit up when gore lost in florida)(every fuckn conflict I get pulled in because my pov differs from others, at the end of the day, will anything I say here stop a single person from killing another, I don't think so, so please stop thinking because I'm contrary to your point of view, I'm against you, I just see the world in a different way, that's it)
a great man once said
" fool me once, shame on - shame on you. Fool me - you can't get fooled again"
- Some people, most, still live under Roman mentality.
If you're not with me then you're against me.oey - Bullshit! The Devil can make the choice for the Ukrainians: West or East. They will be fucked anyway.oey
- The Neo-Nazis took over. Seems like a minority deciding the future of a majority. Like always in every system so faroey
- Why do people always have to pick sides? Even when both sides suck?
I'll never understand that.oey - the worst is that people think I'm pro putin, I'm not I'm fuckn anti bsGeorgesIV
- I think you're very reasonable guy who can analyze a situation independently from the interests of any side. sociology.oey
- Besides, Putin is not worst than Reagan, Nixon and Tatcher just to name a few, but by saying this nobody's defending him.oey
- Who the fuck are the USA to say anything? On the other hand Putin has no excuses. They treat us like fools...oey
- ...and most people follow this bullshit by picking sides.oey
- Give Ukraine back to Poland and Lithuania. Maybe a bit for Austria, Hungary and Turkey. And Crimea back to the USSRoey
- sorry, i meant Russia...oey
- So many places fighting for Independence, freedom and shit and the USA back up the system and regimes. Morals...oey
- What I also like when you write of this things is the lack of hatred for any side. You just deliver stuff analytically.oey
- oey you're either with me, or you're with the 'terrist, lolGeorgesIV
- Georges. I appreciate the caution but this is an overly skeptical view.colab

" but at soon as the neo nazi started burning shit up and attacking cops all the good spirit was crushed," ??? and then you accuse me of being influenced by Propaganda? Same way as Occupy Wall Street movement was associated with Hippies to discredit it..
I've been in the Cold War on the both sides, so I can see both sides. This revolution as organic as it gets, do not try to discredit it. I've been following it for much longer than for the last couple of days or weeks like you did.
This revolution is not about being with West vs East. The decision by Yanukovich to go with East did sparked violence, but it's not why it started.

I'd be highly suspicious of any popular revolt that handed over the government to oligarchs and neo-nazis.

from the same article:
However, despite this, Turchynov was not popular with the crowd on Independence Square, known as the maidan. He attracted criticism from demonstrators when he told them that they had achieved their goals and should "go home" following Yanukovych's departure.
Let me remind you that now is a temporary government, election will be in May
- futuremongolian0
Popular uprising, hijacked by neo-nazis, backed by the US, hands the government to the rich and tells the people to go home.

- Lol. When did I mention Russia?futuremongolian

Svoboda, Ukrainian far-right party who gained power after the revolt. (because apparently certain muppets on this board don't believe neo-nazis exist/have never been to Europe)
Their positions:
- Criminal prosecution for “Ukrainophobia”
- Only those born in Ukraine can become Ukrainian citizens,
- Ban on abortion
- Criminalization of public promotion of abortion
- Nationalization of major enterprises
- The restoration of the Soviet practice of indicating the ethnic origin in passports and on birth certificates
- Abolition of Crimean autonomy
- Farmlands are to be state-owned
- The state is to implement a firm pro-family policy
- Decommunization of public space
- Ukraine should again re-acquire tactical nuclear weaponryETC ETC.

And the other party who made gains through the revolt:
The Right Sector (the guys who started shooting Ukrainian police)
From wikipedia:
"According to some Right Sector members and Right Sector leader Dmytro Yarosh, the organization is affiliated with or composed of several smaller, extreme-right and nationalist groups including "Trident", "Patriot of Ukraine", "White Hammer" and the Ukrainian National Assembly – Ukrainian National Self Defence."
"Aleksander Muzychko, a Right Sector leader, has pledged to fight "Jews and Russians until I die."[5][23] Muzychko was videotaped physically assaulting a Ukrainian public prosecutor in his office, threatening to pull him to Maidan square with a rope.[9]
Journalist Oleg Shynkarenko has written that Right Sector's support for "traditional morals and family values, against the cult of profit and depravity," implies opposition to homosexuality, and the estimation of the "rights of the nation" against "human rights."

as usual time will tell, I wish the best to the ukrainians and want them to have peace and security again, but once the war machine is on, there are revolts around the country and portion of it wants to secede, it will be hard going back, this has been done numerous time but we never learn...
in two years everyone will be asking themselves where they fucked up and no one will remember why it started
