NAMM 2014
http://www.namm.org/Anyone going?
Excited about any of the rumoured announcements?
Or heard any rumours?Teenage Engineering are rumoured to be releasing a new software update.
Artist BT is meant to be releasing new software/plugin with iZotope. Could be promising as StutterEdit was pretty decent.
I also wonder what the new Elektron is all about - even though it's way beyond any gear lust budget!

When you watch NAMM (and other expo) videos from the likes of MOOG, Elektron, Teenage Engineering you just KNOW that the guy that's talking you through the thing has helped build the thing, he's been involved all the way through development and knows the instrument inside out!
Then you watch the likes of this M-Audio video.
Some numpty wearing a suit that's trying to use as many "hip" words as he can in his chat and doesn't really seem to know much about what the hardware does other than the PDF brochure he was sent by M-Audio the night before.- he wasn't that bad, you have to keep in mind he's also there to convince retailers to carry it, not just impress musiciansalbums

The Theremini, like a traditional theremin, is played by waving your hands in the air space around its two antennas, controlling the frequency with one hand and volume with the other.
Unlike a traditional theremin, the Theremini adds a plethora of unique features that are designed to help novice players learn the instrument quickly, and to inspire more experienced players to create new and exciting sounds.
Some of these exciting features include pitch correction with selectable scales and root notes, 32 wavetable based presets, and MIDI and pitch CV outputs. It also has two line level 1/4" audio outputs for connecting to a mixer or an amplifier, plus a built-in compact speaker and headphone output for private rehearsal.
