So apple just launched Match for all us outside USA. Is it worth the money?

Haven't really looked into it. Does it match all my *ahem* legally purchased content and gives me access to a copy on their servers?

I signed up originally in the UK, but I've cancelled my subscription since. It's a half arsed service that isn't as good as it should be.

I found it has issues as soon as you get to the limit (25,000 songs) - I didn't find it easy to pick and choose what I wanted in the cloud and a couple of times I found I'd deleted songs from my library rather than just my match account. I find it strange that they tell you that you can "store your entire collection in iCloud" but then put a limit on it.

Plus you still have to download the files to listen remotely, what kind of bullshit is that in this day and age? I just want to pay to put my entire collection (not just the first 25k songs) up in the cloud and then just stream them when I'm out and about. I don't want to be constantly emptying my phone of files when it's full just so I can listen to a different part of my own music library.

I'll stick with Spotify on my phone and my iPod classic for mobile music for now.

You can upgrade from the 25,000 limit but yes, the claim that you can put your "entire collection" online is misleading. The issue I have with Match is that Apple's ID system is very glitchy and you only get three tries to type in a password before they make you change it. If you have multiple devices, this is more annoying than it sounds.

It's also not really worth it. Google Music lets you have 25,000 for FREE.

You also have to depend on streaming/downloading which isn't always perfect. I prefer to have my music on the phone/computer. It's worth it overall to pay for larger drive capacity instead of paying for a streaming service like this.
