I need to back up my hard drives. I have about 6tb and it's growing daily. How do you guys backup your work data?

I worked for a few months where the studio server was Drobo and it was good in that nothing really happened and access was quick.

I use one of these because every external drive that has failed on me was down to the box's connections rather than the actual drives. So far, so good...

Time Capsule + Backblaze at home. Maybe not practical for 6TB+ though.
In the studio we have one of those Promise thunderbolt raids (Pegasus R4), with drives 3 & 4 mirroring 1 & 2. Plus we're transitioning our in-progress projects to Dropbox.

I've really been thinking about this too. My computer is getting old and I don't want to lose all my shit.

1. Hard drive backups.
2. Cloud Backups for vital files.
3. Waterproof & Fireproof storage box for said Hard Drives.

some of you guys really recommend backing up SIX TERABYTES of data online? That's just a pain in the ass!
I would buy a set of external HDDs, save my stuff there and put it away in the shelf or something. Or a blu-ray burner along with the BDs, it has got a lot cheaper than a few years ago. But with BDs you'd have to reburn your archive every two years.
- There is nothing to it, you just have to be patient for the first upload, from then on it just goes on in the backgroundformed
- Yeah, BackBlaze took me a bout a month to do the initial backup. Easily have 6TBs of data too.fyoucher1
- Just put it in a different building from where the source files are, otherwise fire/theft are issues.nikdaum

@mekk online that much data is overkill but considered what happens if there's a fire or someone breaks in and steals your shit. No data.
