i am soooooooo looking into desktop cnc's right now. would love to cut aluminum / acrylic / my own pcb's. the one above looks great, hadn't seen it yet.
i'm going for the sturdiest one i can find as a kit for the least $.
i was checking this one out, was a kickstarter.

i have a dream of making, and maybe selling in limited runs, a classy, minimalist arduino-based midi controller like an all-midi battle mixer, midi fighter-ish, or start off w/ just simple drone synths or sequencers using aluminum hammond boxes and custom cut faceplates, etc. cheap and cheerful.
there are some other dudes out there doing these things and i'd love to join in on the fun. a little cnc would be a big step toward this.

I'm surprised that 'albums' has not posted anything here yet...

- I perhaps shouldn't've added 'desktop/' to my header - I'm looking for open-plan versions with at least 500x500mm work areadetritus

using a dremel for this seems like a bad idea.
