I have a layered PSD file that I’d like to save out as a PNG. It is 768 x 20042 (large).
In the optimization panel as I save it out, the settings keep defaulting to “Image Size” W 314 X 8192, and I can’t make it larger than this -- does anyone know what presets I need to edit to have it save out as its original large size as it shows up in the PNG?

Try saving it from File > Save as.
Save for web has dimension limits that I don't think saving normally has.
- Yeh this would be my first thought, save for web cuts down all sorts of shizz.Hombre_Lobo

But I wouldn't be able to save it out as a PNG if File > Save as ...
Going to save it out as a JPG and see if all of the colors hold up.
Thanks folks...

Changed a large file I was working on to your file's dimensions and tried saving for web just to see what would happen. It auto-resized to the same dimensions/percentage within the dialog.
Not really any help, but thought it was interesting.
Also, wasn't able to come up with any quick google answers.
One article stated that they were able to save large images without issue in CS4 but encountered issues in CS5. Someone suggested wiping Save for web Preferences. Not sure if it'll work in this case.

Thanks folks ^
I was able to find a way around it, I sent the PDF file into Fireworks CS6 (it's the only app from 6 that I still have), and it worked just fine. Saved as PNG.
There is no option in PS CC to convert a large file (bigger than what is usually saved for web standards).
Thanks Adobe.

Don't you love when "upgrades" remove useful features?
